Join me for this 10 Minute Yoga practice to feel rejuvenated and vitalised. A quick yoga flow can make the difference between a 'meh' day and a great day!
Please consider subscribing to Ciara's Home Yoga. I upload yoga videos, to start our days connected to our body and our breath. My yoga videos are a supportive practice if you want to have more energy, to feel relaxed or to cultivate deep and even breathing. I also, upload a lot of gentle yoga videos. Gentle Yoga is one of the greatest acts of self care when we are in need of nourishment. For example, it helps with sleep, burnout, stress & anxiety. It can transform our health, increase energy and refreshes tired and worn out Moms. Whether you are in your 20s, 30s, 40's, 50's etc my classes are suitable for everyone.

Nice flow Ciara, I do find it difficult to clasp my hands behind my back and lift up my arms. Is there a modification to this pose?

Hi Zainab, if you hold only the opposite elbow with each hand, behind your back, it’s still a nice shoulder/chest opening stretch. If that’s not comfortable, just hold onto your forearms as close to your elbows as you can. Don’t move them away from your body, just holding here is great. And as always, just make sure your shoulders are back and down. Let me know if that works for you. C

Hi Ciara. My daughter has FND. It affects her right side, particularly her hand and foot. The muscles are permanently spasming which affects her standing position at times. So would gentle yoga be useful for her?

100%. Any self care practice is great. Yoga particularly to bring our focus from our head (thinking) into our body and to our breath. I was similar with my FND in that it affected my right side. I hope your daughter is well and has a daily self care routine. Sounds like she’s lucky to have you for support too x
