You're so right about being mindful of family and pets I left my flight attendant job after 8 months. I was on reserve and there was no indication of me getting a line anytime soon. And while this was going on my mother was having surgery and had no one to really to help her during recovery. And to make matters worse, my fur baby was going blind and was dying of cancer and I had no one to care for her while I was gone with giving her medicine and such. She was still able to run and jump at that time because the cancer hadn't caught up to her and I wasn't putting her to sleep just for convenience. I felt guilty leaving her all alone in an empty house and being gone for days and also I had been with her for 14 years and this new job just changed her lifestyle as well. So based on my family situation, I made the decision to resign. The company tried to help me as much as possible, but it's a business in the end. My mother recovered from surgery after 4 months and the cancer caught up to my cat and she went downhill fast and she died after Thanksgiving. So people out there take care of your family first as much as possible.

I had always wanted to be a flight attendant since I was in first grade. Ultimately, I ended up being a Respiratory Therapist. Go figure! Lol! Now I’ll be 52 the end of September this year. Sometimes I STILL wish I could be a flight attendant. 😊

150 flying hours a quarter ( per 3 months). Days off and scheduling depends on many factors : base, reserves available, seniority, etc

Some bases don't fly international, so it depends where you are based out of training. At the bigger bases you won't be able to have a regular schedule(line holder) of international trips unless you speak the language of that destination ie: French, German, Dutch etc. Being a new hire you will be on reserve(on call) there will be times where you might get an international trip because someone is either on vaca or sick. A full month schedule of international trips is very unlikely. I've been flying for almost 26yrs and I can't hold anything other than London!

Hello hello again. I am trying to gain some weight. I am 5 ft 7 and weigh 112 lbs. I wanna gain at least 25 lbs. Any suggestions? Edit: yes I agree go out and do something. I'm coming from the trucking world and every stop I made I get up early and go explore that morning before driving down the highway or go explore the night before bed. I've seen every single state driving a semi truck with the exception of Alaska. Edit 2: yesss even as a trucker I signed up for hotels and have so many points already across the nation. Can't wait to join the air crew to collect more points
