I TOTALLY agree. Nothing I say from here on is to discount that the UFC is not doing the right thing here. But if Trevor Whitman really cared about the glove thing, and believed it was killing fighters or something, it would be less about the money for him, too.

@@DreIsGoneFission if feel as though it's fair to use the UFC against the UFC. If he licenses them to other corporations he can corner the UFC into backing down and admitting they're wrong. Which I'm not sure is perfectly moral but it makes this company that has been ignoring the testing to admit they're idiots which might help down the road
@retardno002
@retardno002 Жыл бұрын
@@kennethkennethson4991 I think the main reason they don't want to do it is brand image. The old gloves are in all their highlight reels and worn by all the champions that make the UFC what it is. Changing to any other design would be difficult from a brand image POV. They could have adopted the Pride gloves years ago when they bought the org, and those were a vastly superior design. I've tried both first hand.
@rickysmith6041
@rickysmith6041 5 ай бұрын
Well, it's not that they aren't going to eat. They aren't saying they won't pay them, they just want ownership. Apparently they don't want them to have ownership. I'm guessing it's because they've sold UFC gloves for years and they need to continue the brand. It looks bad if they sold those gloves and then ditch them entirely, instead of upgrading them which is how it would appear if they own the company. I'm not even sure why they don't want them to have ownership, who else would they sell them to? I think the UFC is acting perfectly rational based on the reasons I gave.

I have the same problem gsp has. I had to quit wrestling before my senior year because of it. My doctors were really concerned and when I got checked they saw signs of TBIs and how I was growing up I can see where shit happened. I gave a shot at mma a year later and got a wicked concussion in practice. A complete accident and it floored me for weeks. I couldn't lift weights or do a lick of cardio because I'd pass out. I'm in therapy now years later trying to help the memory loss and help keep track of time and make sure I can remember what to do day to day. Some days I'm on top of the world. Then there's days where I need constant guidance just to do what I need to do. It's dark and scares me. One day I'm probably going to lose to it but until then im doing my best. I wish GSP the absolute best and to stay strong.

One of my sleeper favorites is actually Cat Zingano going on the show and talking about what her first fight was like under the influence of antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication. Not her first career fight but the first time she decided to fight while medicated. He described how her killer instincts never woke up even after the entire first round of getting punched in the face. She said she was there but not really. The idea of medication turning you off like that even at the professional level is kind of unnerving.

What Jones said really resonated with me. Once I was playing with my friend and he was beating me. I was laughing the whole time and when it became clear i was losing i said "Im just playing around" and my friend looked at me and said "Are you? Or are you just making an excuse for losing? You might even be better than me but you never put in 100% effort because you're afraid you'll lose. You give yourself an excuse before it even starts". Changed my life. Any athlete reading this, identify any mental blocks you have. As soon as you do, and start taking steps to fix it or get rid of it, you open up another level of potential.

His T levels were lower than most girls yet them roids were able to substitute and power him through a decorated fighting career and you don’t think his body was capable of dealin with some coke and alcohol after a week?

THE REAL "FIRE IN THE SKY" STORY of TRAVIS WALTON FROM COAST TO COAST RADIO: AND 2 MORE AS WELL THAT HAVE GOVT AND MEDIA EVIDENCE. Fire in the Sky is a good movie. But they had to make it scarier for Hollywood. The aliens never probed his eyes, strapped him down(at least he wasnt awake if they did) and he never floated thru that room with corpses all over. He said he remembers 10 min of 5 days missing. And he told that in detail.here is the story. I've a big UFO interest. The REAL Travis Walton tells the TRUE story for 45min. Multiple times. Never changed it.He was upset with the movie director after. But the abduction part is spot on except he wasnt naked when he woke up 5 days later in a phone booth. He was clothed. He did see 3 grey aliens when he woke on a table, but grabbed a metal rod and threatened to swing at em. And they all went down a corridor. And he found the main cockpit with the tiny seat in middle and surrounded by windows with the stars and constellations. Then he ran out another corridor into a big hanger with ramps and went into the next ramp over and said they looked exactly like bigger than avg humans in spacetype suits with glass globes over their heads. They wouldn't talk to him. They strapped him down and were very strong, overpowered him and they put him back to sleep then he woke up at the phone booth at the bottom of the mountain he got abducted. Then he took 15 lie detector tests and passed all. And his 5 lumberjack friends all passed several lie detector tests too. At first they were accused of killing Travis. But to this day 21 men never failed a lie detector and Travis Walton took 15. Never changed the story. Its anticlimatic but still a Great story. One of the most legit abductions. Those men saw UFO 100% on Arizona's mountains. To me it sounds like military and ET working together. CASE 2 Also Barney and Betty Hill in the 1950s. In New Hampshire. They had needle Mark's and Barney died within 10 years after encounter. He was never the same. He was only 46 when he died. Barney became very depressed and stopped socializing and staying home and withered away. Betty lived on. They were driving deepin the woods and all of a sudden they took a corner and a lit up disc was blocking their way hovering. It scanned them and their car with a red horizontal laser from the ground up. They lost some time. Then came to. And panicked and took off home called police and even FBI got involved. CASE 3 Another is that town or lil village in Northern Brazil off the river by Atlantic ocean that was harassed for months by lights flying over with. No sound whatsoever. 3 Fishermen in a canoe on the river one night saw a football shaped space ship, no sound, turn upward so point is facing sky and take off so fast it was outta sight in under 3 seconds. A man in the village while sleeping had a laser shoot his thigh and burn a waffle type grid in his leg. He was in a rocking chair at 3am. They went to hospital and nurses said they have been getting many of these cases. People started disappearing and dying of a sickness I forget the towns name. The military went out there to guard. And they realized they had nothing to fight back. They saw these ships flying over almost nightly. The general buried the files back at the capital of Brazil, Brasilia. MUFON has all these stories on file. Hope you UFO buffs enjoyed if you didnt know already. Peace

I’m still shocked you didn’t call out the misconception about 12-6 and this story. how everyone LITERALLY says “it’s about a block of ice” . No. It’s not. That was used as a throw away anecdote. Even big John very clearly points out this is from a very real fight. The logic is perfectly sound. Hence why it stems from an actual fight. Not to mention the block of ice while silly and from those facade karate shows is actually one of the feasible bits. With no where for the kinetic energy to pass if the head of pinned against the mat, a 12-6 elbow literally is egregiously dangerous, more so than it needs to be and is perfectly reasonable to be avoided. Look how rare it is it actually Happens which perfectly illustrates the point. You get accidental eye pokes and low blows more than 12-6 accidentals despite being in range just as much .

Those gloves really need to be implemented into the sport. My friend and I have watched UFC and MMA from the very beginning. After they introduced those gloves all I could remember saying from the moment I saw them was, "They might as well just have hand wraps or just bare knuckles." My friend would always complain about eye poking and said "They need to make a glove that allows grappling but restricts the fingers from fully extending." After seeing the Joe Rogan episode I'm not really surprised that the UFC as a company would want to buy the rights to those gloves, greedy bastards would rather make money then put the health and well being of their fighter's first.

It’s criminal how under appreciated DJ Mighty Mouse is by fans and the U.F.C. He’s the most skilful fighter I think I’ve ever seen he’s just to small for most people to like watching I personally like watching the lower weight classes.

Shoutout to all the old school JRE fans that already knew all of these.

I remember during peak Rhonda hype and saw her KO Bethe. I thought her stand up looked really stiff, but hadn't seen fighters like Holly or Amanda and ignorantly thought "I guess this is what good female MMA striking looks like". Then when she fought Holly I was like...ohhhhhhhh her stand up is awful and any real striker is going to kill her.

Another logical explanation for GSP having 2 to 4 hour lapses in time/ and or memory is MK ultra 😂jk. Its a joke guys. I'm perfectly aware that the cognitive issues and mental disorders that these warriors experience as a result of entertaining us are very real and nothing to joke about. Edit: Also just a side note, but its very strange how when the JRE first began Rogan truly was a hard-core conspiracy theorist and then one day he's just not. According to much older YT videos that have been taken down (plus MANY others) Rogan was threatened by the elites that if he didn't take a stance against certain topics or conspiracies him and his family would be hurt or worse. After that incident took place it was very obvious that Joe had "changed" and would begin to dismiss most conspiracies any guests would bring up. Even going as far as to make some guests seem unintelligent or insane for believing a lot of the very same theories he was completely on board with.

Everybody can shit on Ronda all they want, but they aren't being honest if discredit how dominant she was on her run and, more importantly, how she catapulted women's MMA. Without her, there is no female UFC divisions or champions. For the kids, look it up. Dana White literally said no woman would ever fight in the UFC, when it was at it's height. But Rousey couldn't be denied.
