Demi Lich Skullcap was originally put in the game in GoD, a whole five expansions after you can get it on TLPs. If you are running a necro on a TLP and you do not have one you are absolutely doing it wrong. It matches perfectly with the lowly Kunark necro heal over time spells. You can cast two HoTs for each Morternum without losing any HP or using any mana - essentially a free 80 hp per tick regen when used constantly. It also makes the Kunark to Velious necro and shaman one of the most synergistic class combos, especially in early Velious raids pre AoE mana song when the content is still difficult. Keep HoT on shamans and Morternum on mobs at all times while raiding and the shamans can burn mana while canni dancing without ever worrying about their HP. I've also been in groups with shamans up to Luclin era where their slow and necro heal is all that is needed to keep the tank alive, but would be inefficient without the clicky since it is replacing a 700 mana spell.

You missed the true necro epic weapon Zlandicar's Heart! I loved mine, I wasn't in a raiding guild at the time so I had to save up a bunch and buy it.

Great post. Also I used to run a journeyman's walking stick and a Tolapmuj Robe in my inventory in case I need to try and proc a tash on a resistant enemy. And a wand of souls and shiny brass idol for emergencies. Vial of velium vapors and OT hammer for travel. I used to have nightshade scented staff but didnt use it much bc it disnt seem to help much. Oh yeah and planes of power ossein of limitless time will eventually replace the 1.0 clicky, its so much faster.

Thanks for the video :) Regarding the focus-book, at least on p99, the amount of mana you get back from reclaiming energy scales with the hp of your pet. So if you click it while your pet is at 5% hp you get almost no mana back whereas if it’s on full hp you get 100% mana back

Yeah there are some good expansions. Serpent Spine was great. I heard people really enjoy Secrets of Faydwer & SoD. Cool to see the kithicor forest battle that ruined that zone in the timeline & pre-Qeynos infestation of bertox minions. Cleric will have the best time getting into raids/groups over all expansions. They get a lot more fun when you can play battle cleric PoP & later. Enchanter is the most powerful & wanted class starting out but seems to suck later on when charming isn't as feasible. Necro is always a good soloer. Might be able to get in raids just because all the necros quit after awhile.

I've only played necro on p99 (I have a few videos on my channel as well). Agreed, pre-nerf Circlet of Shadows is probably the best thing you'll ever get. Get JBoots ASAP too. Demi-Lich Skullcap unfortunately does not exist in p99, I believe it was implemented in GoD so it does not exist on the classic timeline. What takes its place in the p99 context is the "Shissar Deathspeaker Staff" from Vesshan's Peak, which is indeed better than the necro epic 1.0 (particularly for non-iksar, who desperately need the regen). A few other godlike p99-era items: Holgresh Elder Beads - (Eye of Zomm clickie that can be used for pulling or lifetapped) - quickly removed insanely expensive Manastone or Mana Robe - Stone is instant cannibalize, stops dropping and only usable in non-planes in old-world, robe is 3 second cast, but never nerfed and usable anywhere (but it drops off of Trakanon, so not an easy get).

No Demi Lich on P99 since the quest didn’t work until several expansions after velious

I believe during OOW they did add the 1.5 Prequest so can skip the 1.0 unless the quest doesnt get added till later but doubt it. alternative could add Holgresh Elder Beads from velious for eye of zomm clicky for lifetap/ duration tap for health regen between fights.

Dagger of Death is a must have Omens of War weapon. Click able dot from inventory 450 max a tick 3 sec casting time.

Spent 3 days working on my faction for the skullcap, finally got to Amiable, talk to the guy for the 3rd one, and he just stops responding to me. I figured out the issue, you can't just click the link, you have to type out the full thing. "I will do the bidding of the tower".

After two weeks work (including faction work), I finally get this, and it is a 0 point life tap. ZERO! All that work for nothing. The trash loot these days makes the stats on it look like garbage, and the effect is useless. All that time and effort wasted, I could have gotten maybe 5-10 levels in that time, and gotten the actual epic. The only good thing out of all this was that I can now go to Cabalis, but Venril Sather hates me now, thanks to that last part in Howling Stone.

@@TheDevian the faction took me a week, but I maxed it, and now when I hail the GM, he speaks as if I have the 3rd cap, and gives me the bag for the 4th. When I turn in the stuff to start the 1st cap, he just hands it back. I'm totally at a loss.
