anything under 12" tire is outright dangerous :P . Do like the ME though. longer shocks rear/front and you could use it in mild off road too :D .

I really like the aesthetic of the ME scooter. It seems almost rugged with the exposed bolt head patterns yet still modern in styling too. Only problem is that price tag is way too unrealistic

Really its just a price point thing. I'm more concerned about range than speed. If you could have a scooter that will comfortably do at least 30 mph for the highest amount of range possible (hopefully closer to 100 miles) and market it for 2-3 grand or less you could effectively compete against gas scooters in the daily commuter sector because it could city drive easily through traffic and leave no one feeling like they are pushing their range luck. I also recognize that these are harder things to quantify sometimes because of all the external factors like riders weight, hill climbs along route etc. I don't think a scooter like that would be easy to make for the cost but if it were done (especially by a company such as Honda or Toyota or a reliability driven company) then they would sell like hot cakes. I also think one big way up the mountain towards more electric vehicle adoption could be Gogoro's model of battery swap "stands" spread out across an urban environment. This of course lends itself beautifully to smaller vehicles where the entire battery unit can be easily removed from the vehicle in the same time span as gassing up a scooter. Make the price comparable gas vs battery swap and you have a win.

Thanks for your reply. I still would argue that even 100 mi range for a city scooter is too much. 90 percent of riders cover 30-50 miles tops in a day. @@MustSeeTech I absolutely agree about the swapping tech. It just needs to become virtually as widespread as gas stations. I would have no problem even being as ambitious as to go cross country if I wasn't nervous about not being able to find a swap or charge location. Sadly that is not the reality yet but could be an exciting future just up ahead

i think its made in japan and shipped to Canada but i don't know if its available in the EU, yes i own one but an older modal, i get about 2 hours ride on flat terrain with a little over 3 hours charge time and a Max speed of 28kph, its bike path capable but people like to complain about me on the paths because it looks like a regular scooter, but with the 500w battery and petal access(i never use it) people don't know the laws. other then that its the best perches I've ever made. i feel so free now that im not forced to use public transportation(except in the winter) and the money im saving is fantastic.

Thanks for stopping by! Those charging times could indeed be long, but if you were to plan ahead your trip and correlate it with the charging needs you might find that it is rather easy to do. Just charge it when at work or school or at night. Which is your favorite electric scooter so far?

That's why the Gogoro has the advantage over all the others in the list, no charging because it uses a large network of battery swap stations so you just swap to an already charged battery which solves one of the biggest downfalls of battery vehicles. Also you don't own the batteries so you never have to worry about them going bad you pay a monthly fee which includes certain KMs depending on your plan. They are becoming quite popular here in Taipei Taiwan, I see them every time I go out for a walk.

Like everyone else just build off the GO GO RO platform and fix the retarded skeem of having to buy ur electricity from them-- Needs 1) come in 25-3500 USD 2) Speed 80Km 3) Range 80km or better 4) everything else but 1-3 first always dont hide the faults of the product just use the same format for fair comparison Frankly I dont give a poop what voltage or weight Its a scooter maybe 250 pounds so what and why is tork a big deal its a scooter its gonna fly w direct gearless TorQ. I'm using a 3kWh module from a Chevy Volt, so not huge range (40miles) but impressive power when needed, far more those listed. I'm using a hub motor, but was looking at a few Gogoro's in Germany and was curious to using the motor from one for less unsprung weight. Planning to fit a 4.6kWh battery end of the year.
