Another suggestion: most youtube channels focus on pop-rock sound. For example: applying compression to the drums, getting a good punch etc. But what if I want a delicate sound? How to compress acoustic instruments? What effects should be applied to the strings? . Topics like: "Mixing and mastering acoustic music, minimalist songs, orchestral songs, etc. (Thanks!)

Thank you so much for all your great videos throughout the years. I hope you will be there in 2022 for all of us who are struggling in these very trying times to concentrate and stay focused enough to create music. You are a gem at this time of great technological evolution and we should all be thankful for people like you who take the time to share your experiences and your knowledge with us, the invisible strangers you will never meet or hear about. Just know we are there and we hear YOU! Bonne et heureuse année 2022!

The center of the mix and the stereo spectrum please! .My problem: my mix is balanced but when I expand the stereo (mixing and mastering) I lose definition and presence in the voice. I would like to get the best of both worlds (mono and stereo). Thanks in advance!

The value of what you get with Logic Pro is unbeatable. I’ve been a Logic user since version 6 and its evolution has been amazing.

Love your videos! I've jumped around from DAW to DAW for years, but I started on Logic and I always come back to it. It's just got such an amazing and comprehensive toolkit. And it feels inspiring to me!

Wow impressive. I'm a bitwig user and recently picked up my first mac mini m1 mainly for video editing. I'd looked at the 90 day trial but I'm pretty happy with bitwig. Now, however, I will definitely try logic... thx for this

1. I LOVE Drummer! I think Drummer *_by itself_* is worth more than price of LogicPro. 2. I LOVE Smart Tempo (even though I haven't figured everything about it yet)! 3. I LOVE the incredible arsenal of sounds/instruments included with LPX! 4. I LOVE the Amp Designer/Pedalboards included with LPX! 5. I LOVE the MIDI implementation of LPX! (I use a _lot_ of external hardware instruments!) 6. I don't use the Score Editor much =preferring to use 3rd party software= and the piano roll but... I'm fascinated at how capable it is! 7. I LOVE the many ways one can edit arrangements in LPX! 8. I LOVE swipe comping!!! Are you _kidding!_ 9. I LOVE Flex Pitch & Flex Time (even though I haven't figured everything about it yet... It's DEEP)! 10. LOVE all the included plug-ins included with LPX! I have very few 3rd party plug-ins. Honestly? I'd drop #6 and say Chris Vandiviver's Why Logic Pro Rules channel is one of my top 10 reasons to use LogicPro. Seriously...

Hey Chris, thank you so much for your encouraged and inspiring lessons / video sessions throughout this year. In earlier times, I was very much linked to the ATARI platform where EMAGIC started as a competitor of STEINBERG in Hamburg/Germany. These two companies did really an extremely ground-breaking effort and evolution at this time when the resources of the computers weren't as rich as nowadays. And this software constantly evolved until now after being incorporated into the Apple platform! Therefore, I'm really very much looking forward to the next years since the MacBook Pro M1/Max provides so much more power - what comes next with Logic Pro X? A virtual bassist (as compared to DRUMMER) for instance? Or what about soloists which can live being "tweaked" to more expressive playing? One thing is certain: In the new aera, Logic Pro X will still evolve and provide us musicians with tons of valuable functionality. Have fun in 2022 and stay tuned 🙂! We will keep hearing you!

Hi Chris My business partner and I both use Logic to compose. We have an Atmos mixing room near Nashville. I’ve been checking out the new Atmos implementation in logic. It very good for a version 1. Unfortunately it eats up processing power. Im looking forward to getting a new MBP in a few months. Keep up the great videos. Happy New Year.

Again I'm new to Logic, but for 200 us it's amazing all you'll get. Can't wait what they have in store for future update. Thank you for all you do, and Happy New Year.

Best channel for an introduction to logic features, however, is there a step by step guide video or channel or course to each one of the features in this video and in previous ones? Thank you

Great list! Smart tempo is especially awesome for keeping things organic and not locked to a perfect computerized grid. I’d like to see some better sounding pedals when it comes to distortion and the ability to perform slides easily with MIDI, though.

As a 20+ year Logic user, I agree with everything here, EXCEPT using slicing mode for drums. It's awful with gaps & glitches in the audio. I simply don't understand how to make it work for me. I end up using polyphonic mode for flexing drums, but that suffers some phasing anomalies. Logic RULES!

Ten... Yes Reason 10, is the most underrated of all features... Every DAW can record , play back.. Arrange, mix etc......... But Logic, Without doubt, IMO, has the best VI's and FX bundled in any DAW. And at the price, it really isn't a question... Its somewhat a fact.

Great video.I have already set my eyes on the Logic Pro. One question though: can I assign external synths to indiviual channels in Logic via a midi controller or workstation like the Roland Fantom?
@TheMirolab2 жыл бұрын
Trying to decipher your question. Yes, you can have Midi tracks that send out to individual midi channels, and you can record multiple midi channels simultaneously into Logic from a single or multiple controllers. There are several ways to do this and work with Midi instruments, and Logic has very powerful Midi routing and processing. It can accommodate almost any Midi situation.

I was so close to switching to Logic Pro, but the inability to preview 32bit samples in the browser really killed it for me. I have 1Tb of samples with a mix of 32bit in there and it makes life super difficult.
