Love your videos, Cas. I have to laugh sometimes, though. You do things sometimes that are too “perfectionist “ for me (drying & putting away dishes at night) but on the other hand the putting clothes in a drawer unfolded makes me crazy 😜. I will never even try to be as OCD as the Marie Kondo method but I’ll admit that I DO love seeing items in the drawers folded “on end” because more fits in it that way & you can actually SEE everything all at once. I like watching different organizing videos, and take whatever tips & tricks I find that work for me. Thanks for your vlogs. I enjoy the funny stories at the end too.

Yes! I recently bought a spray mop and couldn’t believe how easier it was! I’ve been a professional cleaner for YEARS and recently decided, I’d had enough and quit. Now I have time and energy to clean my own home. No kids here, but we still make a mess! I was given a robot vac for Xmas (just a cheaper version) and I love it! Have been using the tote basket and it feels great picking up stuff and not having to put it away immediately. I love your channel sooooo much! When my boys were little they each had their own brand of underwear and socks. All the socks for each were the same color and style. I didn’t have to match and sort them, just pop them in their top drawer. They are 18 and 20 now and they still use this method themselves. When the socks get worn out just buy a new bunch and toss the old set. That was an A+ tip from my mil!!

Or you can be like my son's friend who just wear mismatched socks all the time. They think it's cool! I do buy the different brands for the different boys, though, so I know who's socks are who's!
@splendaglenda16326 жыл бұрын
lmi747 , my hubby uses the same method. He has a below the knee prosthetic leg. His artificial foot never smells (LOL), so he keeps the black dress socks on for several days; his artificial foot usually tears the socks in just a short while anyway. We learned a long time ago to stick with the same color and style of socks, so he will always have a matching pair. However, I do fold his socks in half and stack them in his drawer. What can I say, that’s just me! Organized drawers make me happy.😊🤗

Omg yes I only use one cleaning solution for literally all over my home! Mrs Myers used to be my favorite too, but I have now perfected my own solution that’s safe for my pets and my sensitive skin as well: One part vinegar, one part rubbing alcohol, two parts filtered water, and a couple drops of tea tree oil. It is a miracle! My boyfriend hates the smell so I soak the vinegar in orange peels for 2 weeks first, which sounds annoying but now it not only cleans, it shines my wood and leather as well. It’s streak free for glass, removes pet smells from carpet, sanitizes the bathroom, and prevents stains on my cleaning rags as I use them!!!! Seriously, I mistook my cleaning rag for a washcloth the other day because they were both perfectly white, and I don’t own bleach lol.

Spray mops should rule the world! I hate mopping, I hate it so much that I used to mop barely once a month. Then I tried the ones where you have to twist the handle, and it worked ok. My mopping time were from 1:20 hour to 40 min, but it hurted my hands so much after all the twisting, and the floor was so wet ... Then I tried the spray mops, and WOW! Now I clean my entire house in just 15 min. Not pain, the floors dry super fast, not water messes. I just love it! Now I mop twice a week because it's so easy!

I too love your channel, Cas! I have a.d.d so I fold laundry as soon as it's dry while watching a video or 10 on YT. I have to fold pj.s and undies. Not because I have ocd, praise God ,because I am tired and could not handle the pressure. That's why I'm thankful I don't have ADHD. I kinda wish I did so I could finish a task! But, back to my point, I have to fold laundry or else half of what got crammed in a drawer would wind up on the floor never being worn! Kids do not care, My tip: Roll pj tops and bottoms. You'll be amazed how much space you'll have plus it helps the little ones find what they're looking for with so much less hassle. Same for undies. Roll them and you can get so much space left over you could consolidate them together with socks and maybe have an empty drawer for t-shirts and pants/shorts = less crammed closet. Peace and Love

Crickets everywhere are screaming in horror with the clothes😂😂😂 just hang em! 😂 the stove cleaning method is awesome! I'm all for efficient shortcuts for cleaning. I use the spray and walk away method a lot. Let the products work so you don't have to, right?! My favorite is having the kids pick up their own stuff. You're right we are not maids. My son shoves his clothes in his drawers and I'm ok with that now. They are put away and its not my clothes I have to look at. I think putting things into perspective like that helps. The common goal is achieved even if we take a different approach. 😉

@BEARTHEWEIGHT9206 жыл бұрын
Linden Peters How does hanging take up more space? My dressers are quite large and they take up way more space than my walk in closet.
@lindenpeters26016 жыл бұрын
I mean in terms of the number of clothes stored. If you take an entire dresser actually chock full of clothes and hang every piece of clothing, you will need more space, simply because your clothes are lined up next to each other and vertical space is not being used. Our small walk-in closet is bigger than our dressers and it will not hold all of our clothes. We only hang what needs to be hung (which is all that will fit on the bars) and the rest of the closet is used for off-season clothing. I was just mentioning the number one reason most people do not hang every item of clothing. But hey, you do what works for you! It's not like Cass is going to kick in your door and scold you if you don't do it her way! Lol
@BEARTHEWEIGHT9206 жыл бұрын
Linden Peters I get what you're saying. But you can make vertical space in a closet. I know you're talking about clothes but I was obviously talking about space in general. I would have a ton more space if I didn't have dressers and hung everything up or stored them in my closet in an organized way. Disclaimer! I don't have a ton of clothes!😂

I have a spall studio apartment, I have gone from hoarder to semi minimalist, and I still have trouble cleaning and tidying. I love these shortcuts, even if they don't all work for me. For example, whenever I put my laundry away, I still like it folded. It's not about wrinkles (I honestly don't care about wrinkles) it's more about how it makes me feel like I'm tidy and organized. It's kind of like making the bed in a room no one else sees. It feels good, even if no one else knows. Here's my number one clean tip: don't keep a lot of books. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE books, but they get dusty so easily and I have a slightly more severe dust allergy than most folks. I get itchy and have an asthma attack by cracking open an old book. Multiply this by however many books I wish I had and it's a recipe for disaster. So instead, go to a library, because their books get used, and are less dusty.

I LOVE you fast-motion clips- they are so inspiring:). Now, I am not the world's tidiest human, but I DO fold clothes and towels. Why? My cleaning tip: when my grandchildren were little they visited often on weekends. I wanted to teach them responsibility so we'd each be assigned a chore- dust, vacuum, sweep, pick up, make bed, etc. in a specific room and then we'd set the timer anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes and try to meet back at the timer before it went off. We did this for about 30 minutes or however long it took to complete (but I didn't want to bore them just teach responsibility). Then we decided on what we would cook and bake together for the weekend and then we'd go grocery shopping. I would provide them with their own lists to gather what we decided on. They just visited this past weekend (now 16 & 18) and they told everyone what we used to do on these weekends. They told everyone how much fun we had!

These are great tips & I'm putting them to use starting today! I am a cricket so perfectionism is my enemy - I end up not doing anything at all if I can't do everything - so I can't wait to see these shortcuts work for me! Thank you so much!

Thanks for the tip on the Rubbermaid mop. I tried one from another company and you had to use their cleanser which left a residue.

I enjoy your videos. You regularly make me laugh. Loved the not folding, dump in the drawer trick! My son would always do that with his socks. Seeing you do it, makes me more open to it. Have a Great day Cass!! 😁😄

I love your videos. I agree so much with you. You dont get points in life for doing it the harder way. I am 22 and a stay at home mother, have a 3 year old and a 11 month old whos naps are really short and dont let me do much because they always want to be with me. So getting it done the "lazy way" and saving time is a priority to me. Like you said, it gives the same results lol.

Wow, I knew about the microwave trick (and even cutting up a lemon 🍋 to add to it) but had never thought to do that with the oven. Genius! This comes right in time, when we’re in the process of moving. I was stressing over how I would clean that thing. Thanks! Loved all these tips because I hate cleaning, LOL!

Great tips! My one product wonder is a mixture of a cup of water and a teaspoon of Castile soap in a spray bottle. Mild and works on most surfaces
