Nurgle vs. The Flood from Halo.

The flood infects and absorbs whatever they infect taking all the victims knowledge and information. Eventually when the flood gets big enough on a world it creates a single main hive mind aside from the normal hive mind within the flood itself. The main singular hive mind can then make more intricate decisions and planning as well as communicate with other beings that aren’t part of the flood. It will use and create technology out of existing structures, systems, and knowledge that it’s absorbed. Nurgle could infect the flood with different pathogens or create new flood like pathogens in an attempt to make a Nurgle worshipping flood. But that Nurgle flood would need a certain amount of psychic ability to power Nurgle in the warp and be aligned with Nurgle to feed him in the warp or the flood would be more akin to Tyrannids causing at worst a shadow in the warp to its own warp flood god or at the least nothing at all while absorbing humans and other aliens with psychic energy that would end up stop feeding into the warp and thus starve out the chaos gods. Which is what the Emperor wanted to do with his webway project and the cabal wanted with Horus winning and killing off the human race afterwards. So the flood is probably something Nurgle would and wouldn’t want to mess around with. He probably would because it is technically an infection but it absorbing anything living could take away any psychic energy out of the warp or worse create a new chaos god like the Orks have (but they’re usually too busy fighting each other to beat on a chaos god but are more powerful than they are) or how the humans created a new Tau god in the warp based on “the greater good” that pretty much benched a chaos god and saved an entire fleet that was stuck in the warp.
