Pittsburgh as a whole was impacted after we shipped factory work overseas but other areas flourished since we had companies like Google move in and our medical jobs are booming.

I have been exploring Pitts for 1.5 years. I have really enjoyed it there when visited and would like to call this place home. Keeping my fingers crossed for a job offer 😅

Great information. Are there any drawbacks to buying new construction? I've read horrible stories about cheap materials being used. Thanks.

I don’t love new builds but some nice. I have new builds on my street. They are more expensive than my 1968 home and not as nice on the outside. I’m sure they are more efficient though.

I'm curious about a few things in Pittsburgh: Are most of the neighborhoods segregated like Midwestern cities? How's the job market for average citizens? Would you consider Pittsburgh pro renter or pro landlord? Is there a lot of housing growth there?
@livinginpittsburghpennsylvaniaАй бұрын
Yes, good job market, pro landlord, growth is happening fast!
@splatterbrained13 күн бұрын
Yes. Our neighborhoods are pretty segregated but more neighborhoods are mixed now than they used to be. The younger millennials and older Gen Z have not been “pro landlord”. You’ll see anti landlord graffiti/stickers scattered around higher income areas. The job market is solid if you’re working for a hospital or medical felicity. We have Google so that’s cool. Lot of office jobs are in the outer city areas like Robinson and such. We’re an affordable city but the homeless rate took a huge jump. You’ll see plenty of homeless people around the downtown area, especially Smithfield st and Liberty Ave

I have my eye on Pittsburgh but one thing that scares me is I feel like I'm early to what is probably going to be an explosion of growth, just like the other Covid boomtowns (Austin, Raleigh, etc.) that eventually destroyed the original charm of the cities. I hope this city can keep its charm and only slowly grow over time, not all at once then implode. Is the infrastructure even ready for what could be coming? Stop promoting! LOL JK. Thanks for the great video.

Awesome video and informative video but do you do SEO for your videos I see you are not getting good results because you do not SEO your videos so quickly SEO optimizes your videos and gets better results on your channel faster

I guess you’re not familiar with other older cities that have many old homes. I do agree that you must have the properties inspected and assessed for problems. I would never buy a home from you because you have too many negative things to say about the city compared to what you say that is positive about the city. I watched the other video of yours, and it was so over-the-top and exaggerated about the problems that I almost didn’t recognize the city that I have lived in my whole life.

Forgot to mention the transit and great bike infrastructure are great alternatives to driving the bad roads!

I'm from Pittsburgh. Your video is horrible. You talk a lot. You don't have enough video on what you're talking about! You talk too much. Your face, with a Pittsburgh background, is distracting! Yuck!
