Victor will have the same struggles all phenoms have when coming to the NBA. He's played without any decent competition for years. His confidence in his own play will be overinflated coming in. The NBA is so much faster, your opponents a smarter and better and will adjust quickly, the big guys are stronger and know how to foul you hard and well to take you down a peg. Plus an 82 games season is physically and mentally draining.

Kristaph Porzhingas is 7'3", very agile, and can shoot 38% from behind the arc. People thought he would be a generational superstar. So far he has enjoyed a good career, but he has not been a top 10 player. Young Victor dominated in G-league but in the NBA he will find a much more physical style of play. With his very lean frame and very great height, he is a high injury risk. He may become a LeBron type superstar who dominates the league, but he might also just be a very tall guy who turns out to be pretty good but not that special. Let's pump the brakes on him until we've seen him play 20-25 games against actual NBA talent before anointing him the Next Big Thing. I think we can figure out what he is pretty quickly once the real games start.
