We're actually in the process of booking our first Alaska cruise with Royal Caribbean. We're trying not to to stay in an AirBnb overnight if we don't have to the day prior to the cruise or when returning to Seattle WA. The return flight available is only at around 12PM, I know they say the cruise ship arrives back in Seattle WA by 6AM. Will that give us enough time to make the 12PM Flight? Also how many bags are we allow to bring is it just 1 Carry on and 1 checked bag per person?

Hey thanks for the comment ! That’s so exciting, we had such a blast in this cruise. I would recommend planning to fly in 1 or 2 days early, at least this year with all the flight cancellations there were a lot of people that fit in much later, and could potentially miss the cruise. As far as timing off the ship, that should be no problem at all ! They have an option so that you can just take your own bags off the ship if you wanna get off early and can get off as early 7am I believe. We disembarked around 8am and we’re at our car in the car park by 845-9am. If you got off early I don’t see any issue with getting to the airport in time. Sea-tac airport is roughing 30-45 mins south of seattle. As far as bags go, you can bring on as much as you want. Hopefully that was helpful. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask !

Correction, you can’t bring your own hair dryer. They will allow you to bring your curling iron, straighter.

Unpopular opinion im sure...buy why is it my responsibility to pay the wages for the crew. Royal and other cruise lines are multi-billion dollar companies. The crew are employees of the cruise line. Yes they work hard because they are part of the cruise line providing a service and should be paid a decent wage by their employer. It is amazing that the cruise industry has convinced passengers that wages are their responsibility..UNREAL. Think about it for a min...what if you insurance company charged you an extra 18% on top of your premium so they can pay their hard working employees???? There would be outrage. I work hard and I dont get tips from the customers of my company. It makes no sense. The ships are not registered in the US, yet they operate from mostly US ports but they dont pay US wages and pass the cost along to their customers....genius business model if you can make it work I guess. I tip for good service....but I hate when people try to guilt others into tipping cause the employees of the cruise ship dont get paid well.

Lol. Totally understand, we are not guilting you into tipping them. Just our opinion if you have it and are willing to go ahead and tip them. And if you find a way to get the cruise companies to pay them more that’d be awesome ! But also it comes down to us also as consumers, we get things cheap because they hire cheap labor ! If they paid these people properly, the price of the cruise would be outrageous ! Just like everything in life. We complain about how companies like “wal mart” treat their employees but we still shop there because prices are cheap. So it’s kind of a double edge sword ! But don’t think from this video we are trying to guilt people into forcing to tip. Ultimately it’s your choice ! We are just simply pointing out that we get to know these people and the system sucks, so we give them what we can ! Thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment

As a paying passenger you are paying the crew's wages. If you want to pay higher fares and not feel you are forced to tip, tell the cruiseline to raise the fare and do away with automatic daily gratuities.

Going on this cruise august 1st. We also didn’t get the drink package. On top of the cost they add gratuity and tax in there so it adds a few hundred. Just doesn’t seem worth it

Ya, it wasn’t worth it to us either! We were happy with our decision. We still drank a good amount but we were well under what we would have paid for if we got the package! Have fun!! It’s an amazing cruise!

Hey.. sorry, just some feedback... Your information is good, but after seeing a couple of your vids they look really awkward. You should watch your own videos critically and see if you should do retakes. One thing I noticed that at times the person not talking is completely disengaged. I know youve been on here awhile and I really think doing this will get you a lot more viewers. 😀
