Laurie, I read a tip from an airline stewardess and she identified the areas at your seat that are the dirtiest/ most germ infested: the pocket on the back of the seat in front of you (dirty diapers, dirty barf bags etc. The tray for your food or whatever and the head rest. She mention that with Covid the clean up crew hits most of the areas to sanitize but miss those area many times! It’s great that you can bring the wipes oN the plane as you need to use: better safe than sorry! Btw, I’m Julie and I love your videos. 1st trip since Covid!

Yes, for sure! I can’t imagine any cleaning crew having the time to pull down every tray and then putting it back. So many corners were cut after COVID!

Fun! I grew up in Minnesota, and will actually be driving back there the 19th and 20th (I live 1,000 miles from my parents, so I prefer to do the 16hr drive in 2 days, never without a friend who can switch out driving with me). Don't know what part of MN you're going to or what kinds of activities you're planning to do while you're there, but my biggest advice would be to keep a very close eye on the weather for wherever you'll be going (the weather there can sometimes change from one hour to the next), and be prepared for potential delays, both at the airport (delayed flights, delayed takeoff/landing (the runways can sometimes get ice on them), as well as de-icing the wings after boarding before pulling away from the gate) and on the roads (they can sometimes get a bit slippery in spots after it snows, depending on the type and amount of snow, and the air temperatures). Five things I would highly recommend you have (either brought with you and/or bought when you get there) - a windproof waterproof jacket will go a very long way in keeping you warm, as will insulated waterproof boots (such as snow boots), and, if you're renting a car and it's supposed to snow while you're there, a couple blankets (might come in handy even if it's not going to snow), a snowbrush/scraper (the scraper even if it's not going to snow because it will still probably be cold enough for the windows to be frosted over in the morning), and a small shovel to keep in the car (in some parts of the state, they don't always plow the roads after it snows, or not until a day or two later, so if there's a lot of snow, it's possible that the car could potentially get stuck; that's one of the main reasons I got a truck when the time came for me to get my own vehicle - high clearance to keep from getting stuck, heavy enough for the wheels to sink down through the snow to the pavement, and 4 wheel drive if I really need it (don't think I've ever needed it there thus far, and this will be my 5th winter in MN since I got it)). As a more or less general rule, the further north you go, the more snow you're likely to see, and the more rural you go, the less likely they are to plow the roads right away (though one of the places that our minivan bottomed out and we had to dig it out with shovels was a side street in a suburban part of Minneapolis - there, and I think in St. Paul, too, if there's a lot of snow, they focus the plowing on the more major roads, like the highways and main drags). Would be cool to hear what sorts of activities you have planned - it's such a big state with so many different options for things to do, both inside and outside.

Love how detailed you are in thinking about packing efficiency especially for carryons. I just figured out the vertical strategy and one other tiny trick. My personal item is a back pack. Some of my little bags contain soft items. I’ll pack those little bags toward the the side that will be against my back.

We are flying to England but have several connections on different airlines. Their rules for personal items and carry-on bags are ridiculous. Personal item is 15x11x3.9 inches and carry-on is 21x15x9 inches. I did just see on Luftansa's website that the airline listed first might be the one that applies to the whole journey, but do not guarantee that to be the case. So we had to buy new personal item bags and carry-on backpacks.

Hi and so exciting! You can totally pack those things. The TSA just needs to know you have them. Insulin is supposed to be put in the gray bin but they may or may not make you. Your videos are amazing! I am travelling for the first time in about 4 years, and internationally for the first time in 20 years. So there's so much to refresh in my mind. My question is about water bottles. I see comments that suggest I can bring an empty water bottle in my carry on and then fill it with water once I have completed the tsa checkpoint. And, if this is accurate, then I could refill at each of the airports we pass through before leaving the US. All true? And, if true, do you have a suggestion of the type of water bottle? Is an aluminum one maybe not a good idea? Again -- thanks so much for your wealth of knowledge!!

I really enjoy your videos. I'm scheduled for a 2-week international tour and cruise in 2022. I will be checking a suitcase and taking a personal item on the flight. Do you suggest packing my entire 2-weeks of medicines in my personal bag or put a few days in my personal bag with the remainder in my checked bag? Thanks for your help with this.

Hi, I would probably keep them all together. Have a glorious time! For entering another country, I would also keep any prescriptions with your meds.

Is that blanket soft? My daughter and grandson always drag blankets along and this might make a great gift idea. It's always nice to get them something they will love, but didn't ask for..

It is super soft! It feels like the one I have for my sofa-high quality.

We are traveling to Hawaii so I'm interested in the video you mentioned. Is that video "Long Flight Travel Tips"?

Hi! I add the links below every video; sadly this bag sold out again, but it's a legit company so more are on the way: bit.ly/3kaDJyC

My personal item is 1-2 inches over the requirements, hoping....it will all go well since I am gonna bring it regardless. The thing is, I am not even going to pack it all the way! I can bend this backpack in half if needed :D

Thank you for your tips. Is that liquids bag a quart size? It looks larger with the handle.

It is! For flying through Europe, I have heard that all of ours are too big for them. In one of my videos I lay it beside mine.
