Edge's X-Pac dig just reminds me how much slower things change in today's WWE (and perhaps wrestling in general, it's hard to tell in my mid 30s where years go by in like six months). "1998 called...feel free to join us in 2001". Try that now. 2019 called and they're sick to death of you, feel free to join us in 2022. I mean the COVID pandemic has permanently changed basic ways of life but still it feels weird to be like "Yeah! He's so 2019, get with the times". Usually I'd put it down to age, I was 12/13 in 98 and 15/16 in 01 so that's like all of puberty, second year of secondary school to first year of college. But Edge's insult got over and most people there weren't teenagers, so I don't think that's all it is. Look at just about any of the wrestlers and chart their evolutions from 98-01. It just wouldn't be an issue for a WWE wrestler these days to be the same character three years later, funnily enough the only one I can think who changes at an 80s/90s rate is Corbin.

10. I've loved Miz since he called John Cena out for weeks on end. Every week after, he would show up with a new shirt tallying how many times he'd won over Cena. Much like Jericho did to Goldberg in WCW. 9. Eh, fuck Ryback. He was alright, just meh. 8. I have enjoyed most of Batista's work, and yeah. When Daniel Bryan is your top Babyface. We wouldn't have accepted getting the Mania ending WWE wanted. 7. Never had an issue with Nash. But his Quad are total Wrestling fodder. One of the original wrestling memes. 6. Baron Corbin is solid as fuck in the ring. I actually enjoy his work. His gimmicks are just shit. The dog food shit was trash. Angle shouldn't wrestled Cena at Mania. 5. No opinion of J-e-Double F J-e-Double r-e-double t. But yeah, his booking of his own position in TNA was ridiculous. 4. Orton's in ring work is plodding, but he's done well. He seems to have mellowed out now being 40. Fiend shoulda won at Mania. 3. Goldberg is, was, and always has been all hype. Too bad the hype died around the time he beat Owens for the Universal championship. 2. Always loved X-Pac. Great worker. Never understood the heat, but I guess rehashing the same gimmick over again, yeah makes sense. 1. Loved Cena till about 07. I like Batista and "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash, Randy Orton ("Legend/Career Killer"/the "Viper") and Mr. Slapnuts (Jeff Jarrett / the "TNA" King of the Mountain).

no, overexposure, egotism and vince's fetish over ability are perfectly valid reasons for hate.

There's nothing wrong about hating ryback.

Little pattern here, all these wrestlers have been crammed down the fans’ throats at one time or another, which always creates resentment

Ryback was an injury machine. He’s too dangerous in the ring and I don’t mean that in a nice way

They shilled for Raid in the same video they defended Baron Corbin...this will be remembered as the one that jumped the shark

Speak for yourself about Batista. Loved him before Guardians, loved him even more that I found out he’s playing Drax (and was amazing!), and I’m wondering why YOU all are hating him! Because I love him and wwe regret using him incorrectly. Y’all just blaming the wrong side.

I never likes Goldberg at all. I always saw him as a glorified jobber smasher who can't have a match go beyond the five minute mark in his prime. I didn't hate him being involved with wrestling till he started using his backstage political clout to derail other performers a certain fiend if you will or the time he nearly broke the undertakers neck because Bill has no sense of using an iq above 70 by not hitting his head off doors. I never got the hype for him. Though with most of this list either they redeemed past errors in some form or that was clearly McMahons call with booking. Ryback well I just find it said how pathetic he became after quiting. I was neutral on him and just thought he got carried away sometime but the man is a walking talking meme nowadays.

For those who says that Cena can't wrestle I reccomend to make a quick search and check the ratings that Dave Meltzer gave to his matches , there are a lot of 4 stars and 5 stars actually

STOP IT WITH DAVE MELTZER

Agreed, people who say Cena is not good in the ring will hate him even if he saved their families life. He is much better in the ring than some give him credit for. It is just hate for hate sakes. Welcome to the present day internet, the most caustic thing to ever exist.
@dizzygunner2 жыл бұрын
well only 1 5 star, but who gives a fuck what that has been has to say? he saidthe bucks vs the lucha bros was one of the best wrestling matches ever when it wasn't even the best match on that card, his start rating are a fucking joke.
@BiggieTrismegistus2 жыл бұрын
You don't even need to cite Meltzer's ratings. Anyone with sight can see John Cena is downright great in the ring. I understand why some fans turned on Cena but I personally think he's one of the best all-around wreslters of all time.

Anyone remember when Ryback and Kalisto stole mania and the next ppv on the pre shows? They had matches nobody expected to be that good.

People hated Ryback because he was dangerous and hurting those in the ring with him.

Roman Reigns is not on the list. It means that people's hate for him is correct. You heard it here folks from Cultaholic Wrestling.
