@@g1henx Subscribed! Great video, keep your work up, this is very useful stuff. I have a question, because I know a lot about human anatomy and human evolution theory (I study that stuff for a hobby). I wonder, have you developed any shoulder problems from doing all that? By problems I mean popping, cracking, snapping sounds, or any weird feeling of 'movement' inside the shoulder joint itself. I might be an idiot for asking this, but such big amount of weight (your whole body) put on your shoulders under that angle certainly can shorten your shoulder tendons, thus causing them to make sounds when you move your arms. Their main functions are hanging, carrying, pushing, pulling and punching, but this feels kinda weird because of the ankle. Other than being interested in human body anatomy, I am also considering starting calisthenics and learning these awesome moves. I would appreciate hearing from you. And happy New Year, of course!
@g1henx4 жыл бұрын
Hello bro, i'm very interested about this stuff and i'm studying medicine so here ill try to explain to you some basics about planche and anatomy. First of all, for understanding the planche, specially the part that lifts you up from the ground we don't have to look only to the shoulder, but also the hollow body; the main importance of the hollow body is releasing part of the tension applied to the shoulder (+ hollow needs - shoulder strength to hold the planche) this is the main reason why if you have full planche and lets say you weight 70kg, you won't be able to do a straight arm press with a 35kg dumbell on each hand( i recommend you watching the video about this in 'calisthenics school' yt channel. (also understand that planche is a lever, your head not just shouldn't be countes in the lifting weight but rested). If you execute a planche without hollow body it will be banana and there you shoulders will be lifting almost all the weight in a ver bad angle so the injury risk will be high. About the cracking, popping and pain in the shoulder i have to say that i've never have that as i've always done a very good warmup. In fact i've had a little bit of cracking after training variations where the rotator cuff is in a ver bad position (all 'pronated' variations like prayer planche) but that can be easily avoided if you only train those variations once you reach a good lever, you just do them the days you feel strong and you warm uo more than usual. In terms of pain it has happened to me when i do planche training with weights but is not serious and goes out in the next day. The only times i've had a little bit of more serious pain didn't came from planche but from handstand training (once because x cross handstand and another time because elbow oahs overtraining). So, for me the shoulder has always been good but when i had some overtraining symptoms came in the elbow (a little bit of pain in the tendons) but that depends on the person, everyone has a different 'weak point'. To end up, just wanted to say that planche is a safe skill (normal variation) if you warm up correctly, if you listen to your body and if you have any pain or something analyze where does it come from and you fix what is causing it.

Hey, very good video man, interesting exercises all along. What do you mean at the beginning by ‘done with the best form possible’ ? Do you mean the best form you could achieve ?
@g1henx4 жыл бұрын
With that i meant that i tried to do them with the best form i could although sometimes i got tired and didn't do them with the best form possible, and because the purpose is showing the concept of the exercise not how to execute them i didn't waste more time recording them again. If i do another video really explaining how to execute them then i'll do them with perfect form.

@@g1henx haha yeah, but as those exercise (at the end) are pretty hard, people don’t dare to say they have bad form. Personally, the only problem I see with the easier exercise are your hips. On planks and straight arms planks position, your hips aren’t extended enough, thus your body isn’t in a straight line. You should try to push your hips down while maintaining a posterior pelvic tilt and engaging the abs

i have a question. This thing with the chairs ..is it really helping and how does it help... i mean what does it train ?
@g1henx4 жыл бұрын
Hey, the chair exercise can be considered a planche progression as depending how close to the shoulder your assist is, easier it will be: the planche has no arm support so is the harder, and the charis evercise which has the full arm covered is the easier. So, with that explained you can see it will build you lots of strength for the planche and for my point os view is more confortable than using bands. The most important thing about this exercise is that it is the best for training planche presses and you can adapt it to your level (tuck, advanced....). This is because it will bring you a lot of hollow strength. This exercise is also very important for maltese training. The only bad thing about it is that you work front delts only, but in the regular planche you also use middle delt. So, in conclusion, one of the fundamental exercises for planche, but you can't just use that exercise for planche training.

Every day training is not recommended unless you know how to use GTG. Planche can't be trained everyday, is a hard requiring skill for your tendons and they need more rest than muscles. Training everyday will stop your progress and will lead you to an injury. Also only doing planche attempts is not efficient in order to unlock the skill, once you're able to do it it may work. Remember that you get stronger in your rest time, training is just an stimulus to get stronger.

Yes! But i recommend using exercises with weights for more isolated work.

I have a few questions ..mind helping me out ? 1. Is it fine training altenartive days? 2. How long I should do all holds to progress further. Really helpful video bro❤️
@g1henx4 жыл бұрын
Well, i gotta say that my training program was train 1 day, rest 1 day and when you feel your joints very tired rest 1 week. Each session i used a piramidal system (start from higher level to lower), avoiding high number of reps and doing each set until failure. All that works fine until you dominate the straddle planche. For master the full planche you need to understand periodization. For that i suggest you reading Steven Low's Overcoming gravity or if you understand spanish watch sergio kitaev's video where he talks about it.

And about holds it depends on the progression you're at. For exemple you need lots of seconds to go from tuck to advanced tuck. But in my opinion i suggest you to dominate the previous progression (been able to do it every day even in your weak days with good form) before going for the next one. And, if your goal is to achieve the full planche, once you mastered the straddle planche you should'nt continue working for it and focus on closed legs progressions like half lay or advanced tuck to build that full planche strength.

@@g1henx I appreciate you bro for your detailed and quick reply.🔥 Just unlocked adv tuck planche few weeks ago ..and can hold it for 3-4 sec So I'm looking forward to do straddle planche now..
