Shedinja is a perfect mon to capture Rayquaza with in Emerald, learning false swipe and protect, while being unaffected by all of Rayquazas moves aside from Fly, which being a two turn move can be prepped for using protect

@Kaleialoha Arnett-Cook That's why you get him asap, like before the second gym. Train your Nincada to 25 without letting it evolve, learn false swipe, then just let it level up. Or keep you Master Ball in your goddamn pc until you need to use it.....

Also, this is entirely not foolproof, my issue was Rayquaza ran out of pp and ended up stuggling itself to death, not to mention Shedinja has no moves that cause sleep so that's an issue, but if it uses rest and you do enough damage, it will be asleep with one hp. You do also have to level up your Shedinja to at least like 65 which is a bitch and a half. But, I love my gimmicks so that's the curse I put on myself🙂

Although, in gen 2 Parasect is even better to catch mons with, since an egg with a Scyther parent (mom, I believe?) will learn false swipe and Paras has the most broken move in existence with Spore. I'm done now, I'm sorry, please don't get me started, my pokemon knowledge is nothing compared to my Skyrim knowledge, I know every inch of that game

Jirachi: Ash actually recognized Jirachi in that one episode before the pokedex interrupted him Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza: All three of them have black shiny forms when they go primal (Groudon and Kyogre) or mega (Rayquaza) (actually Rayquaza's shiny is always black) Blaziken and Latias: There used to be a pokemon that looked like a fusion between the two

For Gen 3, Some of Corphish's Pokedex's entries (including Ruby) indicate it was brought from another region and became an invasive species. It's alternative Pokedex entry supports this indicating it can survive in almost any environment including the dirtiest of rivers just simply with it's strong will to survive and thrive.

So this is kind of a hoenn/kanto region but the most sought after rayquaza plush is actually a miscolored charizard plushie done in rayquaza colors. Another obscure fact I can remember is that when ash was traveling with may and brock, it was the first region of all of them that ash did not have two or three of the starter pokemon. He only had a treecko because may had torchic and brock had mudkip. Which leads into my third obscure fact that brock's mudkip only ever evolved to marshtomp, it never evolved into a swampert, while may and ash both had blaziken and sceptile. Ash also had one of the most beloved cry baby pokemon on his team being torkoal and that it always got upset when it made even a slight mistake. It took ash a few episodes to actually get torkoal to calm down quickly enough in battle to actually be viable for use

Great video as always! I’ve got some Pokémon facts for the next video. Blaziken fact: Blaziken was one of the first Pokémon shown off for Pokken Tournament alongside Lucario. Kecleon Fact: Kecleon was the first Hoenn Pokémon shown in the anime, debuting in episode 205. Azurill Fact: Azurill has a chance to change gender while evolving because it has a 25/75 gender ratio, when its evolutions are 50/50.

I’m a month late, but hey, maybe I can help anyway... I have some trivia facts about Mightyena. I did a research paper on it back in high school and presented it to my class, so it’s stuck with me. That, and I’m just a huge Mightyena nerd.. • In its original artwork, Mightyena had a black nose, rather than the red one it is seen with today. It also appears with a black sniffer on some early cards. • Mightyena, contrary to popular belief, is NOT based on a wolf. It is based on a brown hyena, a pretty obscure animal, but when comparing the two it becomes more obvious. Though it itself is not based on wolves, some of its characteristics and its temperament does have heavy influence from timber wolves, such as the living and hunting in packs, as well as German Shepherds, seen when it licks it’s trainers face and is fiercely loyal to one trainer and one trainer only. • Mightyena is categorized as the Bite Pokémon, shared with only two other Pokémon. It’s pre evolution, Poochyena of course, and Drednaw. • In Pokémon Adventures, Ruby has a Mightyena named Nana, who was given as a gift to him as a Poochyena from his father Norman. • Mightyena, being a hyena, is more closer related to felines than it is canines. So Mightyena has stronger blood with Persian, than it does Houndoom. Neat. • A captured Mightyena retains a strong memory of its life in the wild. Because of this, it will never obey you until you prove yourself worthy of its respect. • Mightyena appeared as one of the Mirage Master’s Pokémon, and almost attacked Professor Oak in “Master of Mirage Pokémon”. • Mightyena, the BITE Pokémon, a Pokémon known for its sharp fangs, can not learn Hyper Fang or Psychic Fangs. Hyper Fang makes some sense, because only rodents can learn it, but Psychic Fangs? Come on... I know it’s a dark type, but both Sharpedo and Morpeko can learn it, so that’s not an excuse. • Linoone got a Galarian form, but not Mightyena. WHY? It appeared in major roles in both movies and the newest anime, so why not? There you go. I have a ton more, but this is more than enough. If you can’t tell, it’s my favorite Pokémon of all time, so I hope I helped! Look forward to the next video! In the mean time, I’m going to continue binging the old ones.

9:34 Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash, Amaura and Aurorus are also immune to both sandstorm and hail's chip damage. Rain, sunlight and delta stream do no chip damage (unless a dryskin or solar power ability Pokémon is in the sun). Now, what IS unique of Swinub's evolutionary line is that they are the only 3 Pokémon that are weak to all three starter types (Water, Fire and Grass) due to their Ice/Ground typing, Ice being weak to Fire and Ground being weak to both Water and Grass.

There's also Shadow Sky weather which damages every non-shadow pokemon. And Swinub is the only such mon that's immune to every weather effect and can be Shadow.
