I don't think changing to that grip while doing pushups engages your upper chest more. Correct me if I'm wrong , basically what you did there was supinate your wrists which is a function of the biceps , not your pectoral muscles. If you want to target your upper chest then decline pushups are the way to go. Also the pushup is a pushing movement , which by any chance cannot activate the biceps as it's not one of the movement of the biceps. Therefore supinating your wrists while doing a pushup does not target your upper chest.

I do 100 pushups everyday, as sets of 10 It almost takes me the whole day but yet I endure (before I was only able to perform only 5 now i gradually increased it up to 10) as a result my triceps and upper chest have hardened a bit(but my lower chest is making very little progress ) I could feel the difference but at the same time there's a small pain in the muscles ,nevertheless I continue everyday , I wonder whether should I take 2 days off or continue??

@@Boi45 take 2 days off for ur chest, train other body parts on those days. Ur muscles don't recover that quick if your training volume per session is high. Ur nervous system and tendons take more time to recover as well, In general. Also if u are under fed, it makes things worse
