instead of zip ties why not use sticky back velcro? much neater and the silicone will not scratch the tank, in your current setup the zip tie will scratch the tank - there is also stickyback neoprene that can be cut easily into strips and is black - that would be my solution 🙂

this will not help as well. the tank will dent. If you are not doing much off road, go for sliders that will eventually take the impact first and the bike will never touch the ground completely

I dented both sides of my gen 1 Himalayan tank. 😅 Those racks aren’t much for “guards”.

yes they arent from the factory. but you will be pleasantly surprised on how much a straight through bolt with a locking nut did to hold the tank guard in place everytime i had a fall , and yes i have had plenty now.
