100 sit-ups a day for 30 days, I was shocked by how much my body improved!
So while I didn’t get washboard abs, overall, I was really surprised by how much progress I made in just 30 days. When I started, I thought for sure there wouldn’t be much change. And to be sure there would not have been much change if I wouldn’t have stuck to a strict diet. This was the most amount of weight I have lost in this short of a time period and obviously that made the biggest difference. When gettings abs, I think it’s about 90% diet 10% exercise. In time though, I think I will get there.
My Diet
If you are wondering about my diet, for the first week, I started this challenge while also doing the egg challenge video ( • I Ate A Dozen Eggs A D... ), which was where I ate a dozen eggs a day for a week.
After that though I decided that for breakfast I would eat just plain oats, with bananas or strawberries mixed in along with some walnuts. I would also have a glass of 100% grape or orange juice.
For lunch, I found that I really liked eating these high fiber tortillas, and putting jalapeno tuna in them was my favorite.
For dinner I would either do some sort of chicken breast with vegetables or occasionally I would do a salad bowl with chicken from Chipotle.
I have completely cut all soda out of my diet, which has been huge. I also drink about 96 ounces of water every day.
Overall during this period I kept my calories around 1600 a day.
I also did a fast for about 36 hours on the final days to try and maximize my fat loss.
The Situps
This was actually my second attempt at this challenge. The first time I attempted it I made it to day 8, but was so sore I could not continue. This time around I had already been doing sit ups every few days as part of my full body dumbbell routine, so soreness really never became an issue this time around.
Once I started traditional doing sit ups everyday though, they really start to get pretty easy. Looking back, I think I got the greatest ab workout by doing crunches with my legs elevated, and if you were going to attempt this challenge, that’s what I would recommend you start with. It’s also good to mix it up and add some variation to your routine. I also did crunches, star planks, side planks.
Also I did kept doing my dumbbell workout while doing these this challenge, if you haven’t seen that video and what that program looks like, here is the link - • Full Body At Home Dumb...
For those curious what scale I use here is the link to it - amzn.to/2S4J2Sc

not really....no point eating really healthily if all you're going to do is sit on the sofa watching tv....you're still going to gain weight (admittedly not as much as eating junk food etc). Good diet and exercise go hand in hand.

Back in 2017, I did 300 sit-ups a day, Monday - Friday. This was in addition to my daily routine. I also changed my food intake. Within two months, I went from a 38 to a 34 waist. Hadn't been that "small" since the 90's.

I once did 260 sit ups witoutht the break, and I am only 10 years old. It was on my karate traning and there was contest who could do the most sit ups, and I won. Second place was to my friend who did 235 sit ups. And was also one of the youngest on training. My friend and me almost did the half more sit ups than other kids on karate training.

The biggest take away for me is when he said getting abs is 90% diet and 10% exercise. I would've thought at least 60% was attributed to exercise. Thank you Simple Man. Great video!

It's because everyone has abs. You can see children somewhat commonly with abs. Even the people with the strongest cores won't be able to see their six pack, for example, if they're above a certain fat%. Get that fat% down, you'll see abs, they'll just look pretty weak if you don't train them.

@Peace Out high protein, low calorie, very little carbs, so chicken, some red meats, fish, a generous amounts of veggies and limit sugar intake. A calorie defecit would also help, meaning thats as much as you eat.

@@Dangangela6565 it isn’t healthy to just stuff all your calories into one meal at a specific time it should be distributed throughout the day sure u can use the energy all from that one heavy meal but it’s better to just spread it out into more smaller meals

I think you did very well! I was dieting for 6 months straight and did 100 sit ups everyday, 15 mins of incline and then 200 jumping jacks and lost a lot . Right now im trying to lose weight once again since i did actually gain a little but not as bad as it was and now im at least somewhat muscle and not just full body fat as before but this gave me motivation! Just waiting for my ab bench to get here lol but still doing cardio and diet.

I’m not trying to knock anything this guy did he had a goal, stuck to it, and got results I applaud him for that. But the thing is, if you really want abs you gotta take the long way. It’s more about cutting your body fat percentage down rather than building core strength. Just have a caloric deficit everyday and be active all day, that’s bottom line and it works. Down the line, add some weight training so your body would have to burn for muscle growth. Eat a balanced diet. Don’t kill yourself with hiit everyday. Don’t look at a specific program that one person did and think that that’s gonna get you somewhere. You got this
