This is my feedback, 100hz is an improvement over 60hz if you are on a budget gaming monitor. It may not look much different in some games like Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis but make sure your V-Sync is enabled to get better performance.

I’ve used up to 144hz, and I notice 100hz is the threshold before things get too being very diminishing results. 120hz still makes sense for some content, but any more is pointless unless you’re a super hardcore player. 100 fps is also an actual realistic target for mid range PC (I have a 3060ti) and it’ll be heard to reach 144+ fps without cracking down graphics settings or upgrading parts. 100hz is definitely the sweet spot imo
@Kjk8193 ай бұрын
what about a game that actually rech 200 fps, such like valo is 100hz enough bro? i gonna get 3060ti nxt month but im still cant pick should i get the 100hz monitor or 144hz
@ponraul12213 ай бұрын
@@Kjk819 To put it in better perspective, a 60Hz display is 17ms per frame, a 100Hz display is 10ms per frame, and a 144Hz display is 7ms per frame. By going from 60 to 100hz, you save 7ms in 40 frames. By going extra to 144hz you only save 3ms while having to crank out 44 more frames. I actually have a 3060Ti, hooked up to both a 100Hz and 144Hz right now. I can tell the difference side-by-side, but honestly it's pretty minor. To me I actually prefer just seeing a nice solid "100fps" counter instead of it bouncing around a bit under 144. And with a 3060Ti, any modern AAA game with raytracing that aren't small fps games, you'd probably rarely ever crank out over 100fps anyway. If I was you, I'd just get the 100Hz and if you manage to go over 100fps, I'd just lock it to 100 and save on temps & wattage. Even with older games like RDR2 and TW3 next gen, I'm getting in the 70s on average at 1080p.

60hz is more than enough but if you are a casual gamer than 100hz is sufficient, if you are a serious gamer than pick 240 or 340 hz if you got used to using high refresh hz you surely feel like missing out even in normal usage like dragging windows and someother things. it's silly but yeah it's hard to give up once you get used to high hz
