+thisiskris017 he may not be best of best, but how is that an insult? As a modern artist, he speaks with his music in a way few other people of this generation can.

As a young kid I would fall asleep to his albums on little gray CD player. My mother would always start it for me. I could not sleep without it. The sound of his angelic voice, the sound of his harmonic guitar, it all fuzed to create something so special for myself and his audience. As I became older I developed an understanding of his lyric, as I started to experience the things he had sung about. His songs provide a sense of security, knowing that Dallas can understand the things I have had to endure,even if he doesn’t know of my existence. Even still as a 16 year old, I listen to his songs to sleep on an Amazon Alexa Dot. Him and his songs will always have a place in my heart. To me he is the best, and always will be. Legends never die, and he truly is a legend in my world. His music is powerful enough to give me the courage to keep on with life. His music that was once only a lullaby to me became something that I can fully understand and cherish as I got older.

Every live performance dallas does blows me away, whether with c&c or AOF, hes the only vocalist that sounds undeniably BETTER live than on a record. It's insane how good his voice is.

So go on And I will refrain And I'll keep on running this never ending race Maybe next time will be the right time And maybe next time will be your time So save your scissors For someone else's skin My surface is so tough I don't think the blade will dig in Save your strength Save your wasted time There's no way that I want you to be left behind Go on save your scissors Save your scissors So why does it always seem That every time I turn around Somebody falls in love with me This has never been my soul intention And I have never claimed to have patents on such inventions Just save your scissors For someone else's skin My surface is so tough I don't think the blade will dig in Save your strength Save your wasted time There's no way that I want you to be left behind Go on save your scissors Save your scissors There is something that I must confess to you tonight To you tonight And that is I expect nothing less from you tonight From you tonight Go on save your scissors Save your scissors Save your scissors

The great thing with Dallas is that you can watch the same song 4 times in 8 different versions :D I like musicians who are famous already but still avoid to try selling the same song under a new name each and every year.

What kind of wizard tuning allows him to play the lead while ripping through the rhythm?
@matthewparker15928 жыл бұрын
+Arg Etect EBDGCe, it's actually super simple to play when you get your guitar tuned to that. Dallas actually seems to use this tuning a lot.
@argetect28478 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to send me that. I had already found it, and you're right, super easy little tune. Difficult to get all the little nuances and little variations he throws in there, but the main riff/pattern isn't impossible.
@GoneGuitaring8 жыл бұрын
+matthew Parker what other songs use that tuning? that's the only one I know that uses it.

Certainly possible, the prize for winning the Guitar Center songwriter contest was a four song EP with Dallas. Music is like ice cream everyone has favorite flavors. Certainly no one sings like Dallas go see him live.

Is it me or does dallas look so tired and bored recently. After the hurry and the harm i think he may have lost something; maybe passion, maybe he's fine. I just think you can tell in his voice and his eyes that he's just so warn out.
@WAMMO6788 жыл бұрын
+ben fleming I'd argue the opposite. Might just be this video because he's played this tune a million times, but lately he's look like he's enjoying himself a bit more to me, maybe since he's more or less in a band again since the new album. Saw him a little under a week ago and he was running around and jumping about and getting into it. Seemed like he adored playing Women. I think he's just really bored of playing all these old songs. The only song off of sometimes he's playing right now is a very heavily modified full band version of hello I'm in Delaware. Not even this or Comin' Home. But I'd say if he wasn't digging it any more he'd give it up.
