I went up by Wrigley the day after. All over the outside wall of the outfield and all over the sidewalk were messages written in chalk, and the Harry Caray statue by the center field bleacher gate was covered in green apples.

The Cubs parade and rally was one of the largest recorded gatherings in human history, and I think it was THE largest for any gathering not related to religion or a religious event. I kinda doubt the Maple Leafs will draw like that.

@ I’ve lived in 4 different provinces and 1 state. I’ve met a lot of hockey fans. Perhaps you underestimate how many Leafs fans there are out there.

@@cws480 I don't really follow hockey like that so that's possible, but this video stated 5 million at the Cubs parade and rally but local news reported around 7 million. I'm sure the Leafs have a lot of fans, but I just don't see them having enough to rival the size of the Cubs parade and rally. I could be wrong though, and who knows maybe by the time they finally do win a Cup they will have enough.

@@cws480Yeah no kidding when Toronto played Vancouver at home several months back their fans came in large numbers it felt like an away game for Vancouver. Also original six teams tend to have the largest fanbases as well.

The Cubs won in spite of Maddon. Not many MLB players can hit 105mph. Many MLB can hit an 85mph slider or whatever. Shouldn’t have used Chapman so much. Hendricks was pitching totally fine. Didn’t need to bring Lester. Especially since he said he wanted to bring Lester in on a clean inning. Hey shut up, yes I’m still happy they won. But Maddon pissed me off.
