My right hip was getting massively painful, my legs were very heavy going up and down stairs, my range of motion turning my head was very short, my asthma was getting worse the year before I went to a chiropractor and last I got a severe headache in the middle of the night and then it all drained into my sinuses and ears. I crawled to the chiropractor I heard about. This chiropractor is at a franchise called The Joint Chiropractic Group in Castle Rock Colorado. The first visit is only $25 and the rest of the visits are only 10 if you sign up for their Auto draft. OMG!!! It's only been two weeks, 6 adjustments and all of the pain is almost completely gone. I would say all of my pain was about an eighth and now it's about a 2. I had no idea that asthma was related to my structure and needing a chiropractic adjustment. The first two adjustments I went into the office with draining and my sinuses and ears and I'd walk out and it was gone.

I go to Dr. Jon Gralnick at Chiro Medical Care in Plantation Florida. He is the best. When I started going to the gym I would always end up not being able to move in some way. Either not really being able to walk or turn my head or major back pain. I now go to the chiropractor every week 1 to 2 days a week. Now I never become immobile. Addition to this I get much better results from the gym. I now go to the gym 5 times a week. One of the many reasons I like going to the chiropractor is that he has a more holistic approach to matters. This may sound funny but after going to the chiropractor I not only feel more mobile but I also feel more energized. I am taking natural supplements along with eating better. I get a lot from my weekly treatments- adjusted, advice and knowledge. I encourage people to try out a chiropractor for at least 6 treatments to see if it's for them. At first they recommend you to come in a few times a week but it's quickly goes down to 1 time a week or less. It depends on your conditions. Love my chiropractor!

Chiropractic in association with exercise makes balance reappear. My aim after an accident was to regain a left/right balance as I tried to rehab my shoulder. I opted to avoid surgery to reattach some upper arm muscles in my right shoulder/arm. An invasive procedure wasn't even an option I considered. I have been seeing Dr. Morreal, a chiropractor,l in Leesburg, Fl. since May 2019. I have opted to use heavy exercise bands attached to barbells to strengthen and tone my shoulders and my feet as well. I do a few hundred reps in a mostly prone position day and have avoided weights almost totally. Six months ago I couldn't raise my right arm over my shoulder. I've regained most of my mobility while the ligaments still heal.

I had high blood pressure my entire adult life. While working in a chiropractic office, I was adjusted 3x a week and was able to stop taking prescription medications. I learned a lot about subluxation and how chiropractors can treat you for all that ails you. I moved away but am back and I recently called for an appointment because I am having many health issues and traditional medicine is not helping (and may be making things worse.) I can see why traditional doctors feel threatened by chiropractic medicine...the latter works to actually fix what is wrong whereas the former, in my experience, treats symptoms (not causes.)

Hi Dr. Axe, can chiropracters help in any way with depression? I know you mentioned the vagus nerve, so wondered if it could be of help in that regard. Thanks for your great videos. x
@me-hk4rl6 жыл бұрын
i am not the person you asked, but as it appears your question was not answered, you might find this informative. the sole purpose of chiropractic is the correction of the cause of (subluxation caused) nerve interference. depression is often due to inadequate thyroid function from nerve interference. the interference is usually unilateral, affecting the same side as the person's atlas listing that causes their nerve interference pattern. it matters not if you had your thyroid checked. very often routine medical tests fail to find this problem when it is present. other thyroid related symptoms may include insomnia, chronic fatigue, diffuse joint pain, fevers of unknown origin, alopetia (hair loss). see an hio method chiropractor .

Cl Be not true. Truth is you should go more frequently because of how we treat our bodies. But once or twice for problem doesn't mean you have to keep going.
@LamiAtZenith7 жыл бұрын
Its true. I personally have mild scoliosis and though I'm only 21 I feel it getting worse if left untreated. I've seen a chiropractor twice but the readjustment takes more than 2 sessions if you're looking for long term benefit. You have the option to keep going or not. It is a question of whether or not you can afford a whole course of treatment.

The truth is that just like proper nutrition, or exercise, research shows that there are many health protecting and health enhancing benefits of receiving regular Chiropractic wellness visits. And the choice is always up to you.
@chiropracticeducationchann79917 жыл бұрын
This depends on your condition and is why your chiropractor should provide an exam and a treatment plan for you specifically. Similar to physical therapy in you may need to go more often earlier on, then decrease as you get well. Like dentists, most people will go 2x a year for wellness checks, chiropractic is the same in that if you are to keep your spine in tune, you will need to come back for wellness visits. If our spines were visual like our teeth, more people would be going in not when they are in pain, but as regular physicals.
@BobbyRamirez7 жыл бұрын

it's because they are heavily brainwashed !!! more than the rest of the world i guess, so once they "wake up", or find out sth out of the "ordinary" they get super-excited. it's not their fault though. imagine you have been told sth all your life that you think is reality and suddenly you find out that things are "different". super-exciting !!! i think they have the worst education. but there is a good side to it. the more oppressed and supressed a nation is, the bigger/stronger the alternative movement. these are just some thoughts of mine, but i don't know shit. hope they help however

If your chiro says he/she needs to see you more than 5 or 6 times a year...find a new one. Chiropractic care is a must but it's also a business. Find the right chiropractic physician and like all the research tells us. You will get healthier. As well as feel less aches and pains. Just do your homework before you decide who to go to.
@marklewis64337 жыл бұрын
Not true John. What kind of results would you get from going to the gym 5-6 times a year? Not very good. It's all about keeping the joints moving and frequency of care is dependent on many factors (previous injury, muscular imbalance, posture, etc.). If joints of the spine are not moving properly then this will lead to further wear and tear and a breakdown of that spinal structure, known as arthritis. Spinal discs also break down, as the regular movement of those joints provides vital nourishment to the spinal discs. Those only recommending 5-6 visits a year do not understand what they are providing and are doing a disservice to their patients.
@JohnPandolfo1217 жыл бұрын
First before you go any further you should know I'm a chiropractor. Graduated Palmer in 93. Sure some people in pain need more than 6 treatments but most of my 14,000 patients are given a home program in conjunction with there in office spinal care. Using going to the gym as an example of why you need to see a chiro all year is absurd. Not even close to a good comparison. Find it, fix it, then teach your patients how to stay healthy. There is not one similarity between working out regularly (which I do) and going to a chiro 5 times a week. Again...that's absurd. Get a better chir. One that takes the time to teach you how to keep your spine healthy in between the need for a correction.
@JohnPandolfo1217 жыл бұрын
Oh and it's obvious you're a chiro too. You will get destroyed if you decide to debate me on this message board. Just a warning before you make another bad decision.
@marklewis64337 жыл бұрын
You are certainly welcome to your opinion. To imply that those of us that are doing corrective care, improving posture, changing muscular imbalances and documenting progress with proper functional assessments are acting improperly is inaccurate and unfair. Your assertion ignores the science of tissue healing supported by the medical community, physical therapist, chiropractors and the personal trainers at your gym. I never suggested 5 times a week. Yet 3 time a week during the corrective care phase (4-8 weeks) is not uncommon, as it would be with a physical therapist. This is usually followed by regular maintenance care, depending on the severity of the condition (once every 3-4 weeks). Not sure how much teaching you can actually do for your patients if you are only seeing them 5 times a year and shoving a handout in their hands.
@JohnPandolfo1217 жыл бұрын
It's not an opinion. It's a clinical fact you should know. Ligaments connect bone to bone. With every correction you stretch ligaments. Which causes the patients skeletal support system to become less supportive. Learn your anatomy before you get into a debate that hurts my profession.
