As a single father who also games! I'm pissed off!! Everything is going up all over !! I'd boycott if I could but like I said I'm a gamer also! I do appreciate gamepass cause it gives us a test trial so to speak, games today have the best trailers so you can be ripped off

I right away checked my current subscription. Apparently I already changed Xbox Gamepass Console to Ultimate end of 2022. I tried now to switch back to console (since I don't play on PC). I currently pay EUR 14,99 for ultimate, I cancelled it, wanted to select console, but that isn't possible anymore. And to sign up a new for ultimate, the price would go up to EUR 17,99. Luckily I was able to undo my cancellation. But tbh it sucks that they don't keep an console only ultimate version 🙄. Plus EUR 19,99 is expensive. Especially since most gamepass games aren't to my liking, but that you need internet subscription to be able to play most games. Like I'm currently playing Destiny 2. They're taking their damn time with adding COD games to gamepass though. I like to play the campaign on those, and then ditch them usually.

@@Michael.P.1997 I am from the UK. Your first comment you put $ and not £. You can buy a bag of coffee beans from Aldi for £1.19 and it will make 15-20 cups of coffee easily. It will also be nicer than the piss from Costa and CafeNero. People who but over-priced piss are stupid and lazy. Using that as a comparison for a price increase to GamePass makes it sound like you engage in that behaviour, and therefore you waste your money on low quality produce, which means your opinion on anything to do with money is irrelevant. Most of those game pass games are there temporarily unless they’re exclusives. The big difference between game Pass ultimate and PlayStation plus is simple, game pass is a rental service like Netflix, games come and go. PlayStation plus on the other hand, you simply add those games to your library every month and they stay in your cloud for years pretty much for life. That’s why I have over 900 games in PlayStation because I add them to my library every month and never had to buy them. And they do not get removed.

The uncharted collection, Detroit become human, God Of War, Spider-Man and so many exclusives over the years that were in PlayStation plus the people get to keep for the rest of their lives basically. And it’s cheaper than game Pass ultimate also by the way. I’ve got 190 platinum trophies, I don’t have very much gamer score because the games on Xbox suck. And I have about 900 games thanks to PlayStation plus.

If they can bring the family plan around it would help a lot. My little brother and I have different game pass ultimate subs because we both play the same time and so it was needed. We could bundle up with a family sub and maybe save a little to offset. I wish they would have launched that along side the price increase to lessen the blow. I still think its a great deal in the end but right now a lot of people are hurting and game pass is that bridge so a price hike hurts

A price increase will put more pressure on developers to produce bangers of games that are 8.5 or 9 on Metacritic. They can’t get away with a 6 or 7 score now. It will also incentivise a lot of people to subscribe on a case by case basis instead of staying subscribed all the time.

Ive got 4 kids and myself playing game pass daily. Its great. I have no problem with the price hike. Id do 25 or 30 for a family game pass ultimate type thing. The only thing that sucks is they have to be signed into my account to play on their consoles (each of my kids has their own xbox) anyway, looking forward to flintlock and south of midnight.

I’m not seeing anything that justifies a price hike. We have been waiting ages for games like Fable State of Decay 3 Ect Think I’ll pause my subscription till a decent AAA game comes out.

There isn't a real reason for the increase in price. $16.99 is fair but once these cats get away with hiking the price one time, they will just keep increasing as they deem fit.

I hope people can understand why Microsoft is trying to kill physical copy. They can after increase the GP every year like this. Do you have any idea how much money you save by buying used copy of a game on facebook market? If you also play only single player game. You can sell the game after finishing it.

I don't mind the price hike still a good deal to be able to access alot of games without having to buy them. And with all the new companies being added to xbox we will be getting alot of triple a games day one. Seen a price hike coming when they got activision. Only went up 3 bucks.

I don’t like the price increase. It’s not just because of COD. I think they see the opportunity to increase just because everyone else does it. Then they have all ABK employees to pay on top of not having released many first party games, hence the layoffs. Microsoft wants a fast return on investment. But Xbox will get 70% of sales from PlayStation on COD games, so they will make a ton of money. Therefore I don’t think it’s fair for us consumers to pay more than we already are paying.

I agree. $16.99 is a fair price. This increase of 3 dollars seems low at first but if they get away with an increase one time, they'll see numbers and say hey let's do it again. Then it's a 6 dollar increase and so on. There's no real reason for the increase.
