I used to have an 89 with the same paint job and I I terior with 120k miles until her fuel line burst and she caught fire 😭 I miss her so much. Same 302 XLT Lariat too

These trucks came with that seat. At least the XLT's did. Mine was an XLT and had the same style seat as this one. Some came already equipped with those wheels as well. On a side note, the fold down center armrest for the models previous to 1989 had a cupholder (for two drinks) in it. Starting sometime with the 1989 model year, Ford did away with those cupholders as they said it promoted drinking and driving.

People need to do their homework more on these fords. in this trim level (xlt lariat) this did come with this seat and the wheels maybe a little bit different size did come with this style of rim on curtain trims. And you could even get them back in the 80 to 86 bullnose body style. To make it easy look at the sales brochures of each year.

You can also tell the truck has been reworked with new sensors out under the hood as well as the insulation pad under the hood itself is gone in which case I call them insulation pads Death Dusters. They trap more dirt & dust under the hood than they R worth. The heater hoses the AC accumulator and sippa sensor R after market which makes sense the factory stuff was all total trash.

Must be a really rare XLT with that seat or someone added it. My late business partner had a beautiful all black 88 XLT which we both hated hated it. The truck had the bad Catalytic system on it always used to stall out & overheat on us.. I do not recollect his having a seat like that but it spent most of its life down behind the barn with our boats & campers.

Thats a regular seat, mine s got the same one and i know its factory. Its not even fancy leather one its a cheaper option. Mine is still one the road💪

@@tommyversetti4598 I will tell ya what I have scoured over a dozen salvage yards in the last 3 years I have my truck looking for a seat like that. I haven't even found one even in lousy cond. Just none at all. I would love to have a seat like that in my truck.

Well First thing after becoming an unwilling authority sort of on these trucks is those is not the original wheels that truck came with on the 1988 F150. Those aka Styler wheels came out late 1989 mostly on the late production date 89s then all the 1990 to 97 F150s. Mostly the 1981 to 1988 had what ppl called the Scout wheel package mostly a bare bones white or silver much skinnier wheel. That is why they call the wheels featured on this truck styler wheels thee styler wheel is deeper ya look at the 99 F150 & F250s you will see the same affect of sorts although nearly identical Hurricane style wheels there were skinnier steel wheels and deeper dished steel wheels as well as in a chrome. Getting older and slowing down some I just began to notice these things on Fords because I am not a fan of fords. Mostly everything else on this video truck is historically correct. Nothing else hurts that tuck it is pretty much an orphaned freak of sorts. That lousy fuel injection & demonic Catalytic & EGR systems sent most of em to early graves. I just found another one parked aside of a barn locally.. I will stop see if whoever owns it wants to sell it.. One of thee other odd ball things Ford did to really confuse these trucks on both the standard cabs of all models Custom Cab & XLT and standard. The badge above the front bumpers. Some say EFI some have 4x4 on em. Mostly the custom cabs with thee Snow Fighter Package as it is called with the heavier 5 lug axles have the 4x4 badge the other lighter duty trucks like thee XLT had the EFI badge. People say that is how you can tell what the package is on the trucks and that is not the truth at all. People that have these parked along side their homes & garages that cannot figure other that constant stalling problems when hot & have also figured out it is not the EGR system will be glad to know it is the Catalytic converter system and when I say system there are 2 cats on the truck. Get rid of em and the truck will run again. Also change to a 7 blade cooling fan and newer heavier fan clutch.

Do you have most of it right except for the wheels. My 88 has these wheels and it’s straight from the factory when it was bought in the family. Same seat.
