"Eloquent" has exactly the same meaning in French. This is because a lot of English words have Latin roots, like French. It's due to the fact that William the Conqueror, winner at the battle of Hastings in 1066, ascended the throne. So; at that time, French was spoken at the Royal court

Plethora comes from the Greek word «πληθώρα», which means abundance, in large quantities! Ethereal is also of Greek origin, comes from the word «αιθήρ», the upper layer of the atmosphere but also the place where heavenly, ethereal, angelic creatures live. Harmony also Greek but no need to explain that! :) Great lesson, many thanks!!
