"You don't have to be perfect". Struggling with that even now, I would rather skip posting a video than post something that I think people might not want to hear. Also no.7 make learning a lifestyle. I actually hated learning when I was younger, it's only now that I'm nearly 30 that I'm actually starting to love it so much! Thanks for your help man, love your videos!

For me, You don't need to fit in was spot on, Ken. I have the same kind of nature and I was able to relate it. I am on the journey to find my true purpose in life. Hopefully as I live and learn, one day I will find out my purpose on Mother Earth

So so glad you made this video Ken. It really resonates with me. I think in order to plan and stick to it,you have to have some mental clarity and focus to move forward. It's all in the mind. Words are so so powerful, I remember my friends who have a hang up about their feet,or colour or some feature that someone made a passing comment on that has scarred them for life. I have always tried to live by the rule that"if you can't say something nice, then don't say nothing at all" . Also,I'd like to add that be kind to yourself too, I know that a couple of years ago I was running around doing things for others and putting myself last, until I felt resentful and would burn out. It has made such a difference to my mental health to feel that I can say no if I'm not up to doing a chore or run an errand for someone. I have to rest and recuperate too. So true about protecting your reputation. How many times have we heard in the media about someone being dropped from an important position or role because of what they wrote/did years ago.... Prayer is power 💪 Well done Ken for sharing, I'm sure it has helped a lot of people ❤

Hi Downey Jr I wholeheartedly appreciate your message! 😊. It really means a lot. And I love: "If you can't say something nice, then don't say nothing at all". I'm still teaching our kids this important life hack!

Igbo Kwenu! :D With a name like Nkeiruka, I definitely remember the awkward pause and giggle when it came to my name in the class register. Every. Single. Time. It did shake me but after a while, I realised that name is powerful, beautiful, a representation of my parents love for me and completely, impossible to separate from me. I have become more fierce when it comes to my name. I protect it. When I succeed, they will say my name correctly and other Nigerian/African girls and boys will be proud of theirs.

I love these sorts of videos, it's such a shame they aren't as popular as investing videos! A lot of these hit hard, especially about validation!!! This is a BIG one for me, honestly although my rational mind knows I shouldn't care - I still struggle with this point.

Such an amazing and inspirational video - so many powerful gems to take on board as a young woman in her early 20s! Prayer is key, as a christian, my faith in God is the ultimate motivator to achieve all that I believe God has in store for me. So happy I found this channel, it has honestly transformed my life. Thank you Kenny & Mary!

Embracing your name!!! That is amazing. I am Nigerian and even Nigerians cannot pronounce my name ( which I don't fuss about really) I wrote a piece about names on my Facebook page some years ago and I got a lot of responses to it. It is amazing how many people have stories about their names. I am really enjoying your content. Keep up the good work.

Very sound advice, thanks for sharing. Stop seeking to fit is one that I'm working on. I'm currently trying to find what works for me. I like the 'prayer is oxygen'. Prayer has helped me to keep my head clear and I can actually say, the periods in my life where I've been praying consistently, I've had consistent peace and confidence. I've also got a gratitude list of things that have materialised, that I had been praying for, which I use to encourage me with current prayer requests, as well as appreciating the help I've received.

It actually made me tear up when you talked about accepting your name, teeth etc. As trivial as it may sound to someone, to me it is a really big deal because there are not many things i like about myself. Im 37 and i dont think i will ever be able to accept myself (as i am now) so seeing you talk about that just made me sad...but i do admire your honesty and i am glad i found your channel because you do give out really good advise on stuff :) so thank you

Hi Maya I'm really sorry to read this. This whole thing is a journey tbh. Do hang in there and start by loving yourself for one thing first and gradually things will improve. How can I help you further? Where are you from? Were they difficult experiences growing up that gave you the current view of yourself? Btw - 37 is an awesome age! 😉💛

My name has always been mispronounced and I think part of embracing your name means to correct everyone who does mispronounce it. The second you stop, you have failed in embracing and being proud of your name and where your name comes from. But seriously, some people are just silly, they pronounce my name as “Akeeb”, and sometimes I even say “I don’t see a double e in my name”...so I think there’ll never be a time where I will be able to think “nobody will get my name wrong now...”
