I'm curious - How much time do you usually spend for house cleaning in a week?

Thank you for the video. I'm actually rather awful at keeping things tidy and clean. We don't really learn this in school and my mother still has trouble with her own chores. She can't exactly teach, what she didn't really learn either. I learned most of how to keep my apartment tidy from Konmari. Which is an improvement, but probably doesn't count as 'clean'. While I did learn a theory about how to create habits, I still struggle with the reward-part and didn't get any habit established with the methods I learned. Regular habits seem like such a good thing with cleaning. Maybe I'll get past this roadblock at some point. How much time I spend cleaning depends on a lot of things. So it's not regular at all, sadly. Best wishes from europe

❤ cleaning is also therapeutic, sitting down to drink a coffee looking out the clean windows, when you breathe a clean scent in the house it is healthy and also satisfying. But we always need to have time to do other things, the ones that are important to us as human beings and even more so as parents... because children will not remember the shiny house but how many fairy tales you read to them...A big hug from Italy ❤

I love how clean it is. I make my own cleaning supplies too and have for over a decade now. We have conversations with our older children often about how sometimes you are going to argue and disagree with them but that shouldn't mean you should stop being their friend or stop being in a relationship. . .and that it all takes balance, communication, and understanding. Gorgeous video once again.

I know everyone has a different way of doing things. But I've never understood the practice of letting things get as filthy as possible, so that you end up losing a whole day or entire weekend cleaning! Things like, why would you NOT rinse the toothpaste from the sink right away? Why let it dry so it gets so hard that you have almost chisel it off? Same when the kids spill food on the table or floor. How can you just... leave it like that?But, again, everyone is different. Whatever works for you, I guess!
@Sam-cr1nu Жыл бұрын
@@Yesica1993 Someone explained to me that its cause they want to relax after doing whatever task and leave the cleaning for later. I get it for cooking especially if someone had a busy day. I think with others its just one person in a household cleaning so the other people don't bother to clean up so things wait for that one cleaning person to get to them which to me doesn't seem wise in the long run but thats how they live.

Yeah, I actually have some ideas from engineering channels. In most houses, the amount of dust, fine sand, formaldehyde, etc can be really high. Having simple air purifiers can really help to improve health especially during pollen seasons. I'm not sure about northern Germany, but in many parts of Japan, it's quite common to keep the windows closed during those seasons.

But I’ve been feeling lazy lately and just been using paper towels the past couple weeks.

As you use lemons for cooking, put the used parts in a large jar of vinegar. Once it's full, let steep for a bit. You now have lemon scented vinegar for your cleaning needs. If you use a lot of oranges or other citrus, do the same. I think you can just boil the peels of citrus to make an air freshener spray but I'm not 100% on that. There might be another ingredient that helps it evaporate while leaving the scent behind.

I spend too much time on house cleaning. But I love when the house is clean and having pets means I have to clean more. I usually cut time for my pleasures like reading (hence I started listening to audiobooks while cleaning) or drawing (here I cannot do anything about it). Unfortunately, I cannot function when the house is dirty... In a clean and fresh house, I am in a good mood and have plenty of ideas for my work.

My cleaning tip would be to clean the piping of sinks (expecially the kitchen) at least twice a year. I unscrew the pipes from the sink and clean all the loose parts. You will be amazed and grossed out what you find there the first time🤢 I live in an old apartment building and the water here is very hard. Which is good because minarals are hsalfhy but a pain to clean the bathroom from the limescale. I started cleaning with vinegar and baking soda out of necessity and attest that it works WAY better than chemical cleaning products. I got myself a Dirt devil vacuum years ago, and it's bagless too. It's a bit difficult to clean, but it's way less trouble than a bagged vacuum. I don't have to worry if the bag is on right or is full because i can see everything (also great if you vacuum up something on acxident). And no worries about a ripped bag.
