I appreciate your perspective on how Esther approaches the king. Definitely something to think about

There's a lot to learn from Esther. So thankful that this podcast topic led to the study.

This was such an honouring discussion. Thank you for tackling this controversial matter. The culture today really does try to tear down the value and position God has made for men.

I really like this video. I did have a question - how do you know when to submit and when to say your opinion? It seems like such a delicate balance. How do you make the right choice?

Can you link how to get to the submission podcast? I’m having trouble finding it.

What is also great is that men are also to submit to their wives. Whites need to submit to their husbands and husbands need to submit their wives but that is rarely taught as a complete message. If we look at the scripture before it will say husbands and wives submit to one another. I would like to hear more discussion on how men are encouraged to submit to their wives.

What do you think about women being silent in the church?

Women are not supposed to rule over or teach men. That's all that means.

About the guy that didn’t know milk came from cows, as a homeschool mom I’m always worried I’m going to forget to explain something like that out of just assumption that “everyone knows that!”😂😂😅😅 Clearly I’m 30 seconds in and going to regret wasting my comment on that.

I really appreciate the idea behind this topic, considering this side of the conversation on "submission" is almost never present to balance the biblical teaching on this topic. However, it felt like the topic wasn't really looked at and deep dived into how to be the woman who naturally resists conflict and overcomes that to speak up in a biblical way. It's still coming very much from the vantage point of a woman who naturally oversteps. However, I would like to point out that comparing our marriages to Esther's with a horrible pagan king is a little off. This guy had history of being abusive (had his previous wife killed for not dancing probably naked in front of his friends) and she was actually in fear of him killing her if he wasn't in the proper mood to hear her request. You should not use the example of how to approach an abuser as advice for Christian marriages. I don't take issue with your takeaway points, but please do noy try to twist Scripture to showing us an example that isn't there. There was also a huge power difference between the king and his wives, and that certainly should not be the case in a normal biblical marriage where both partners are working together to build a home and family. So again, this couple are not comparable with marriages within the church. A better example would be Abraham and Sarah, who was referenced in the New Testament as as our example as women on marriage and respect.

Diane, thanks for your comments. That's another great example we can glean from for our marriages.
