Years ago,.. when I was a kid..my old man wrecked a b series'because repairing that oil leak by monkeying a seal from the parts store in there... needless to say,it blew out,and he ran it low on oil, scoring a cylinder....it was before I knew anything about wrenching... still got the engine...but it's not a 359 anymore...but anyway 👍👍👊

Fk those vacuum pumps. I'm always swapping a medium duty P/S pump, hydroboost and a 2003/2004 RAM electric vacuum pump on there to run the HVAC.

Hey I just finished the build on my rig. Started it up and noticed it’s missing. So I got new injectors coming in next week. Other thing I noticed is that I got blow by from the vent tube. But I don’t have blow by through the valve cover. Mine is a vp44 engine.

You will always have a bit of blow by. If it start pouring oil out the blowby tube then you have issues

Thanks for the video . I been gathering info on the power steering pump and hydroboost for a while . I read where the flow can be increased a bit by opening up the fitting thr discharge and the pressure can also be raised a bit by shims ect on the pressure regulator valve . I not going to do anything to mine unless I need more . . Your advice was very good get a complete system damn . Well I just got through fixing my friend 99 . The 24 has a harness that makes pulling of the unit off a pita for me . O good idea on some something on the seal . The seal in installed in the cummins kit seems like a poor fit . I got bit a long time ago on a loose fit on a seal in the engine on a toyato turbo diesel crank . Not forgotten that experience. . So I ordered some of that sealer to use on my truck . O I forgot his cooling lines for transmission was leaking . The damn shark bit ot what ever they call them had bit through the line and caused them to leak at the place when the line is crimpled. I never seen that damn

you can drill the hole one size bigger and add a shim to the bypass

I know your a busy man after rethinking this I was wondering if you had a suggestion on a different power steering pump for my truck when I rebuild my vacuum pump. The power steering pump is the original on and has 218k or so the engine. I have heard that there are better power steering pumps as far as volume and pressure. Or do you recommend just a dodge pump for a later model thanks

Would the seal for where it mounts to the timing case be the same if it only has a power steering / hydroboost pump? 1995 ford f-800 with a 5.9 cummins and eaton 5306a transmission, swapped into a 1999 gmc c6500.

Depends on the unit the bolts on. Best if you don’t know call Cummins with the your engine number and get a part number

Dropped a 95 cummins in a 98 chevy 3500 with hydro boost but the enging has the vacuum pump...question is where does the engine gets it crank case vetilation..or does the vent tube double duty...asking because i have an oil leak into my exhaust side of the turbo. blue smoke but clears up once its warm..i plugged the vacumm pump because i figured that was my problem but it was a no fix. Wish it was a 97 pump, 1st year for dodge hydroboost

you can just plug it off like you did m as it a vac pump it pulls air in and adds to the block, i would be checking to make sure you don't have a turbo issue,

Can a GM hydroboost pump can be bolted onto those for brakes in a modified install?

ITS group 31 but i do have two batteries just one is under the truck

What size tires you run on your truck? I’ve got 35x12.50 r18s on mine. Only leveled in the front. The steering is already the “T” style. This thing wanders soooo bad down the road. I want to blame the tires, but literally none of these trucks have stock wheels and tires… They can’t all drive like crap? Haha
