As much said, none of the Beatles were very amazing musicians, what made them a great band was the lyrics. Paul and John were amazing songwriters, and for the very few songs George wrote they were amazing. But then I have heard something about Paul being one of the best bassists.

George Harrison was the very first guitarist I got into back when I first started playing at 10 years old (I’m 24 now) and he’s still one of my biggest influences, he just had such a unique style and never overplayed anything. All his riffs and solos always fit the song perfectly and I love it, great video man

I'm just pleased with the fact that George always intended to play melodic solos and his huge inspiration was Carl Perkins in that matter. Had he become a shredder or a bluesy guitarist, The Beatles wouldn't be as perfect as they are. Long live the greatest quartet ever!❤

one thing i think that he did brilliantly is what i would call "rhythm guitar solos" much like on "everybody's trying to be my baby" and "hey bulldog" i really think he should have done more of those kinds of things leads based around chord shapes. but while guitarists like DAVE GILMOUR and LESLIE WEST are praised fer theri simplicity with GEORGE it seemed to often be considered a weakness. i think his leads are some of the greatest and most underrated in music history.

Man, you left out one of George's best early compositions that was so eloquently played! "Till There Was You" had a beautiful and melodic acoustic guitar that flowed through the song. It is hard to believe George played it when he was around 19 years old!!

Always found George very “clunky” and “bashful” in the early years (listening to his feed on some tracks and there is some pretty “painful” moments that stick out (yet as a complete song pass you by)… saying that his 68-69 he REALLY up’ed his game (and this was after 2 years where he effectively gave up the guitar)

You left off Let It Be (album version), the second take George did, about 3 weeks after he laid down the single version's solo. Paul scored the solos for several of George's performances, from Taxman, to The End.

Actually, the "solo" and the whole lead guitar by Harrison on the track "Octopus Garden" was recorded on that "Psychedelic Stratocaster", being the only track recorded on the instrument after the " prog/psychedelic era" of The Beatles

But, in the other hand, the sound could be from a Telecaster, the treble is characteristically from a Tele Coil.. Well, the exactly truth is what we will never know

@@LucaColaMusic same English isn’t my first language and I’m self taught so my words probably aren’t clear but within the overall solos (not technical terminology) there are like sections of it like different parts of the solo, and in some cases you leave an empty gap and i wasn’t sure if it sounded right. Im not quite sure if it’s supposed to be like that and it stood out because the background music was quiet so it didn’t merge like in the actual song or if it isn’t correct and there’s supposed to be an open note there or something to fill in the gap. No hate tho obviously, it sounds cool I just wasn’t sure that’s all, take the hey bulldog one for example it sounded like it needed notes between the gaps in the solo or maybe the last note of the previous section should ring out until the next section but idk, maybe I’m probably just a little crazy haha but fr it sounded good, your technique and tone was perfect

They are all awesome. But there is couple that I wish they ( The Beatles / George ) have made it a tiny bit longer...Such as 'All My Loving' and ' And I Love Her '... Actually, despite the fact no.2 is a cover, it is not Chuck Berry's solo. If you listen to the Chuck Berry version of the song you'll realise that the solos are not the same.

Thank you -this was so excellent and authentic, They playing, the appropriate guitars, even the clothing - way cool! So were the "Nowhere Man" Stratocasters Daphne Blue (as I believe yours is) or Sonic Blue? I've read both and can't conclusively determine from the pictures that I've seen.

HOW CAN YOU FORGET THE SOLO OF "CRY FOR A SHADOW"? AND... I'M SORRY BUT I THINK ONE OF THE BEST SOLOS WAS PLAYED BY ERIK CLAPTON, 😑 I MEAN "WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY"... AND ANOTHER ONE WAS PLAYED BY MvCARTNEY "TAXMAN".

The clue is in what you said lol. McCartney played Taxman, Clapton played WMGGW, there not George's solos, hence why I didn't include them

It’s George. It has everything that makes it NOT a John solo. It’s precise, it’s intricate, it’s well crafted and perfectly double tracked. Even Geoff Emerick commended him on it, and all he does otherwise in that book is knock him.

I'm pretty sure I just used the built in OD on my vox ac30vr and maybe even boosted it slightly in editing. Another thing I did to get the slightly spacey effect in the end was to layer 3 or 4 copies of the solo, each a few milliseconds out of time with the previous, but it didn't really work as I intended

George was a very good guitarist, and people tend to not give him credit for it However with a slide? Hes one of the greateat of all time.
