As much said, none of the Beatles were very amazing musicians, what made them a great band was the lyrics. Paul and John were amazing songwriters, and for the very few songs George wrote they were amazing. But then I have heard something about Paul being one of the best bassists.

@@mattgames1as someone who dabbles in bass guitar I’m always amazed by his melodic bass lines. They always are so incredibly satisfying to play and sound so incredible, to a point that no other bass guitarist has gotten to. And some of them are incredibly complex! He almost never keeps a “consistent” bass, always throwing a new trick and flourishes in

one thing i think that he did brilliantly is what i would call "rhythm guitar solos" much like on "everybody's trying to be my baby" and "hey bulldog" i really think he should have done more of those kinds of things leads based around chord shapes. but while guitarists like DAVE GILMOUR and LESLIE WEST are praised fer theri simplicity with GEORGE it seemed to often be considered a weakness. i think his leads are some of the greatest and most underrated in music history.

@@LucaColaMusic same English isn’t my first language and I’m self taught so my words probably aren’t clear but within the overall solos (not technical terminology) there are like sections of it like different parts of the solo, and in some cases you leave an empty gap and i wasn’t sure if it sounded right. Im not quite sure if it’s supposed to be like that and it stood out because the background music was quiet so it didn’t merge like in the actual song or if it isn’t correct and there’s supposed to be an open note there or something to fill in the gap. No hate tho obviously, it sounds cool I just wasn’t sure that’s all, take the hey bulldog one for example it sounded like it needed notes between the gaps in the solo or maybe the last note of the previous section should ring out until the next section but idk, maybe I’m probably just a little crazy haha but fr it sounded good, your technique and tone was perfect

Actually, despite the fact no.2 is a cover, it is not Chuck Berry's solo. If you listen to the Chuck Berry version of the song you'll realise that the solos are not the same.

Thank you -this was so excellent and authentic, They playing, the appropriate guitars, even the clothing - way cool! So were the "Nowhere Man" Stratocasters Daphne Blue (as I believe yours is) or Sonic Blue? I've read both and can't conclusively determine from the pictures that I've seen.

HOW CAN YOU FORGET THE SOLO OF "CRY FOR A SHADOW"? AND... I'M SORRY BUT I THINK ONE OF THE BEST SOLOS WAS PLAYED BY ERIK CLAPTON, 😑 I MEAN "WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY"... AND ANOTHER ONE WAS PLAYED BY MvCARTNEY "TAXMAN".

It’s George. It has everything that makes it NOT a John solo. It’s precise, it’s intricate, it’s well crafted and perfectly double tracked. Even Geoff Emerick commended him on it, and all he does otherwise in that book is knock him.

@LucaColaMusic
@LucaColaMusic 2 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure I just used the built in OD on my vox ac30vr and maybe even boosted it slightly in editing. Another thing I did to get the slightly spacey effect in the end was to layer 3 or 4 copies of the solo, each a few milliseconds out of time with the previous, but it didn't really work as I intended
