You should catch another 2. There is an experiment that has a higher change of succeeding. If you place two qeeuns in 2 testubes and you make them bot to ONE OUTWORLD. The end of the testube needs to be smaller then the qeeun ant. This makes it possible for the worker ants to come out of the nest but the qeeuns can’t meet because the hole is to smal for them.
@AntsVienna2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right - That's a good idea! Maybe I do that in a future experiment😉👍

Pleometrosis is when multiple queens found together. It is regardless of the colony type the queens will take later. Polygynous species can start by pleometrosis or by secondary polygyny for example. I see a lot of people mixing up the term pleometrosis with monogyny.
@AntsVienna2 жыл бұрын
Hello again! I tried to put these phenomena in simple terms in the video. Thank you for mentioning and making it clear to everybody👍
@antsnetherlands202 жыл бұрын
@@AntsVienna The term pleometrosis isn't difficult to explain; I did in one short sentence (second sentence for additional information). By putting a wrong explanation in your video, you will only cause more people to fall into the wrong term rabbit hole, unfortunately..

Eee, are there 2 types of queen ants? Or is the only daughter, what I know is that there is a queen ant that lays eggs but without wings and there is one queen ant that has wings but doesn't lay eggs, is that the daughter of the ants? Who will replace the queen?
@AntsVienna Жыл бұрын
Hello again. ALL Queen ants have wings. The swarm, mate, land, break their wings, create a colony and after some time give birth to new queen ants. Here is a video the describes the Ant Life Cycle perfectly 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5mTYYGkr8p3n7M&ab_channel=AntsVienna

That will not work. That nest is not good enough for flavus. You need a stable constant supply of humidity, and that system won’t provide that. Put them somewhere else with a water reservoir that is constant
