Vinh, what you do is incredible. I and many other are eternally grateful for improving the way we interact with the world. Every time I watch a video I learn something new, and I'm filled with hope. Men my age (18-30) as well as women, are struggling to connect and I believe the methods you teach are one of the cures we need. We've lost confidence in our ability to speak and connect, we've lost hope. I'd love to suggest the idea of reaching out to popular podcasts to reach a broader audience. I wholeheartedly believe that appearances on Jordan Peterson, Modern Wisdom, Diary of a CEO, and maybe even Joe Rogan, would be a massive net positive for their audiences. Thank you for your time, and thank you for helping make the world a better place.

I have learnt so much! I use your vocal techniques in my videos here on KZbin and on TikTok now, and people sometimes compliment my style in the comments. I also use it when speaking in public. But that's not all: Over the course of only three weeks, I first managed to land a job as a teacher (which turned out to be not my thing), so I quit the next week. But was invited for two more job interviews that same week, used personal stories and experiences to highlight my expertise, and both boards said I come across as a skilled and likable person. I have been invited by both to come work for them. Thanks Vinh!

Hi Vinh, thanks very much for the video. One question I have is how to improve vocal variety or storytelling when it comes to technical or academic speeches. I can tell great personal stories. When I tell a story involving conversation or emotions, my vocal variety is good. However, when it is a technical/academic problem, I can hardly inject emotion into the content. That is probably why so many professors’ classes are boring.

b) The Volume of Your Speech. Volume is the life blood of your voice. Volume every single other foundation life. Look at it as having a scale of one to ten. Vinh says, he is using seven fairly strong levels of volume even though I'm micked up, I still use fairly strong levels of volume. Why? If you are pushing for about 7 out of 10. For 6 to 7 the following qualities come across that you appear more confident. Secondly, you come across with more Authority. Third, you will show more vitality. And finally, it shows the audience that you believe in the things that you're saying.

Imagine if teens learned theses skills. Imagine if they also learned conversational competence which would give them the joy and fun of practicing these skills daily. Imagine how much richer and fuller their lives would be. I've been in Toastmaster International for 30 years and I've seen the difference communication skills makes in people's life. I believe conversational skills are the key to naturally learn all people skills because we learn from each other.

I have an important story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
