My brother was 6 years older than me...he died when he was 25. My favorite memory of him was when we were shoveling snow (I was 8yrs) I told him my hands were freezing so he took my wet gloves off and rubbed my hands to get them warm and then put his warm gloves on me. We walked home dragging our shovels but his were the only cold hands. He was a great brother 🙂

@@symptomoftheuniverse4149 1) Being a product of your environment doesn't exclude you from the law or moral judgement. Just as the judge stated, if they start taking that kind of consideration as a recommendation for leniency we would be in trouble, because most people that end up in court are in fact a product of their environment. It still doesn't negate the damage they caused. Also, there are plenty of people who came out of similar environment who hasn't gone on to torture or murder people. 2) Unless we were watching two seperate videos, the judge clearly stated (as per 2 seperate psychological evaluations) Paul does not have any developmental delays or impairments. Both stated that he has full capacity of understanding the nature of his actions. It has also been stated that he is a sociopath. Sociopaths are extremely good at manipulation. They are often methodical cand calculative. Which the court identified as to be the case in reference to his actions regarding the questions surrounding his mental capacity. Timothy apparently was going to school, while living with them, smelling bad and in dirty clothes. This is one of those situations where I don't know if they were abusive or neglectful, they realistically could've just been poor.

@healthycathy9782 that's not fair. Yes he would be alive in foster care, but if one of your children has been living with the mom for 1.5 years, everything getting along nicely, and you call her up and say " hey I'm really struggling over here, you took in one of our sons, would you be willing to take in the other, or else I'll have to have him institutionalized because I can't care for him properly " who in their right mind would have thought that after 10 plus years, after her being around one of the sons and treating him right, that she along with that adult son would conspire to starve and torture their relative to death. I get people are upset by this, but I just don't understand why the father gets so much hate, when if you asked a panel of a 100 people, the majority would've made the same mistake he did. Who first thought would be, I'm going to put my autistic son into foster care instead of putting him with his mother who was abusive 10+ years ago, but now she has a 3rd child, she's been taking good care of our eldest child, and instead of 9 people and no space in the house, she has a sterile environment and space better suited for his needs. The dad made the choice so many people would make over foster care and random familes and packed living environments, he actually made the choice the government likely would've made, as they try to first get you to look for relatives who can take them in, because they don't want the kids. She and Paul are the only people responsible for his death, yet the dad has to catch strays for being poor and in an overcrowded home with a son who had special needs he couldn't no longer care for. Hell, why don't we blame the step mom, adult children, shonda current husband, and G's grandmother too while we at it, because they all should've just known that the mother of 3-4 kids would've just took 6 months to starve and torture one of them the moment her husband left the house. Like be for real, who tf would expect this.

Did you see Paul’s head snap up when the Judge said 30-100 years - he was incredulous and his response of not even looking the judge’s way verity’s the Judges’judgement of Paul as correct. What Paul did to his brother is beyond the pale and is completely outside the bounds of both humanity and morality. Bless this Judge for having the courage to stare that inhumanity in the face and sentence him beyond the guidelines. @@emilyashley4820 What a great reply! I was taken in by Paul Ferguson, too - on the stand, he seemed so damaged and limited. Turns out, not so much. At least Shanda didn't put on an act when she testified. She was repugnant in her matter of fact statements but Paul put on a massive act that quite a few of us believed. The judge saw thru it, thankfully. Paul also asked everyone he knew and all the penpals he amassed for money, and did so repeatedly. Apparently, the food in county is terrible and he needed funds to go on his books so he could buy his meals. That stuns me. I have watched the behaviour panel once or twice. Don't forget, this creep practiced his control and evil deeds on innocent animals too. Did Mom teach that to him too?

@@jreifsnyder2225She knew enough to lie about it and try to cover it up.. then claim “I don’t remember doing that” because of her “ptsd”.. not only does she know how wrong it was, she is SADISTIC.. and to think she carried that precious innocent baby in her womb for 9 months.. it’s so shocking there’s really not enough words to describe it

The phone call Paul and Randy after the sentencing was infuriating! Randy is completely blinded and fooled by Paul it's actually pathetic. He thinks the judge was unfair and people are cruel 🤯 I can't believe Randy has an autistic son and still can't see thru Paul's act!

@@nikrixxx6338 Bingo. That's why I was so surprised when Randy actually confronted him about how he reportedly showed cruelty to animals and sounded genuinely disturbed about it. It wasn't enough to convince him that Paul isn't worth the time he wastes on him, but I guess it was something.

Paul’s statement was so selfish. Taking no responsibility for his actions. Asking the judge for compassion he never showed his brother. He only feels bad that he has to pay for his crime. He feels no remorse for what he did to his brother and how he made his brother suffer. He could’ve clearly saved him. He had many opportunities to call 911 or go to a precinct.

I'm sure they both probably still feel justified in what they did. It was Timothy's fault, for being Timothy 🙄

I listened to the jail phone calls between Paul and his biological Father . The calls are upsetting and extremely awkward. It is obvious that there is nothing emotional between son & Father.
