Every week I commute across Switzerland. I usually travel for about two hours and aperture uploads his videos exactly when I get on my last bus up the mountain. Such a nice thing to end the travel on. Edit: wow thats a lot of likes

Is the 6000 calories thing true about chess players? My mom called me out. I tried to find a source for this info but it seems that Robert Sapolsky made this claim, I respect and admire him a lot. But on Reddit the consensus is that the 6000 calories burned per day by chess grand masters is BS. Can someone please confirm or deny this claim?

Wait are the "chess players utilize 6000 calories" really real? I know the brain needs a lot of calories to operate and solving complex stuff increases it but honestly this dosen't sound realistic because when your body is in need to burn lots of calories it switched to anabolic metabolism wich means your cells can ferment glucose because there's not enough oxygen to properly metabolize glucose for more ATP so in response your body will make you breathe more so that's when you're really burning lots of calories and during chess you don't hyperventilate like that... Idk the numbers seem too high to be believable.
