Definitely need to focus on this, especially since I spend a lot of time in there due to chronic pain issues. I know I too feel more relaxed when things are less cluttered.

exactly what i needed! ive been having a lot of panic attacks around bedtime. as someone with every color in my room, and being a maximalist, ive realized its not my lifestyle anymore/ realistic as an adult with mental health troubles. thank you!

I re-did my whole bedroom just to focus on sleep and nothing else. No tv but I do have speakers and the only thing I play is rain sounds or crashing waves. The walls are dark and I have blackout curtains so even during the day time the room is pitch black. A ceiling fan is a must to keep the room cool and have just a slight breeze which I like. A new bed and all new very soft 100% cotton linens and the heavy blanket of course. 10g of melatonin and some magnesium before bed makes sure I get drowsy and more likely to fall asleep. My cell phone is not near my bed and is on silent mode to prevent unwanted calls from waking me up. Did all of this help? Before doing all this I was sleeping from 4-6 hours and now Im sleeping from 7-8 hours so yeah its helped a lot. We spend 1/3 of our lives in bed so why not spend the money and create an environment that helps you get the best sleep possible and feel better for the other 2/3.
