This is a magnificent video, and great playing on your part, Darren (if that needs to be said). I'm thankful to be living in an era where I can watch champions like yourself play with the press of a button. It's such a privilege to study you and take away lessons that it might've taken players of the past years or even decades to learn. You're doing pool a fabulous service by making content like this. Bless you and godspeed.

THANK YOU, Darren!!! i've thought ever since the 200&out against Busty that it would be wonderful to hear you think out loud, so this is a real gift to any straight pool player!

I don't think you can find any other 145 ball runs on youtube while talking through it. That is REALLY a fantastic feat!💪👍

Yes Sir!!! Awesome! And to learn ya "ran" to 223. Personally, I got loads out of this ... for that I THANK YOU! Do miss watching ya play!!!! For the record, I've never played this "14.1". Have learned in the last few yrs these games exist such as 14.1, Banks, One Pocket and so on. All I ever played was 8 and 9 ball but mostly 8. Been away from the game better than 27yrs till the 2nd half of 2021 and played 8-ball league for that "season" on an invite. Done Ok for being away that long. I do appreciate what ya do and looking forward to ya gettin' back into the mix! Be Safe

Great stuff. More straight pool please. So much content you could include. My suggestion, would be more information on how an average pool player could maximize their straight pool game. I mean, I have learned more that I am not a world class ball pocketer, so hitting some shots not as hard, is better for me. Your old school straight pool game is more what we can replicate I think. I sent a small donation and would love to see more straight pool. I hope you get to play at the Legend of Pocket Billiards, and challenge Jayson's record, and/or beat your own high run record.

Excellent demo. Never easy to chat and shoot. You don't give the execution 100% of your brain and thus your cue ball position suffers. Nevertheless a "Master-Class" video. As an idea you can string the misses at the end as a blooper real. Would love to see a 10 Ball ghost version say race to 7. Keep them coming sir.

Hey Darren can you do a video of when not to use certain spins on shots, I find it very difficult to pot an object ball frozen on the long rail using outside bottom english and have decided its too risky to try it, is there a secret you can provide to pot it with high accuracy or is it not advisable? It seems like the english makes the object ball come away from the rail.

Tough shot avoid spin whenever you can in these positions anytime you are hitting on the cueball from rail with spin it’s very hard , but practice is key because sometimes you need this shot in your locker also , but in general avoid using spin unless you really need to! I will do a video at some point thanks for support

Would have been nice if the rack was on this side of the table. Typically people plant the camera on the rack side for most pool games.

Hi Darren excellent video. Thanks for sharing. Quick question. at 29:50, could you have stun draw the stripe down to the left corner pocket (head side) and bring the cb back to give shape on the 7 to the other side pocket to break out the rack (or stun to the rail and back out to get position for 7 to the other side pocket to break out the rack? and if that doesn't work could you have gone for the same stripe all the way down to corner pocket (same pocket) with a little top and give yourself an angle on the 7 to the left corner (foot side) to break the rack? thanks again for sharing!

Hi Darren, I saw that you put on the short extension for break shot at 23:25. I guess you did it to get more weight on the cue for the shot ? Have you tried to play with extension permanently like more and more players. What’s the reason for playing with an extension permanently? By the way great video. Many thanks for that. Greets.
