Being from the UK, not really surprising about London. I lived there for years myself. But I've visited Tokyo, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Paris, Madrid, Shanghai and from the list I would probably choose Singapore but Madrid, Tokyo and Hong Kong would be good choices for me too

Madrid, London and New York are shitholes. Barcelona, Manchester and San Francisco leave them for dead for living standards. Melbourne is the worlds best city to live. Best sports facilities, best restaurants, finest parks and gardens, best arts and music.

I don’t get why Berlin is always considered THE German city. Literally every German would tell you to go to Munich or Hamburg instead (or other big citys), Berlin is very unique for sure though, just has a lot of problems unfortunately.

Cities don't need to be 5+ million people. Cities can be 1+ million, and there are a ton of much better cities than those listed here. They got lazy and just put the major ones (which are usually overpriced, and less safe).

Paris is awesome to visit I'm pretty sure of that. But to live in, you're right I also think many others cities are better. Cheaper, less crowded.. In my opinion, most of the main big cities in the world (London, Paris, New York and so on) follow this idea : they're awesome and worth to visit but not the best to live in.
