@@sinuslebastian6366 Alux kind of makes it sounds like these are ways to impress women though. They do mention learning how to accept rejection, which I personally find it odd that they would include that in a list like this. Stereotypically, men act like gentlemen for the ladies, so it’s usually heavily implied here and Alux didn’t really specify this as something to do for ourselves like they did with the modern ladies video.

There's a very good reason why this word was created exactly as it is--because men have a deplorable tendency to speak patronizingly to women, stating the most obvious things as if the woman is too stupid to know that herself. You might not recognize it as such when you're young, but the older and more experienced you get, the more it becomes glaringly obvious when it's happening. It's a huge sign of disrespect, and women who have become somewhat masculine also do this to others, especially to other women. Not every man does it, of course, but enough do that it warranted the creation of a new word to describe it.

Mansplaining is all about insulting the other person's intelligence and is typically done by men to women, hence the name. Of course there are exceptions, such as my aunt who is fairly masculine and does this to other women. To me, a gentleman is respectful of others in his words, his manners, his hygiene and appearance, his capabilities, the ongoing development of his mind and conversational skills, and boundaries--his own and other people's.

Though, I do want to respect the ideas and opinions of others, so, it might be a good idea to know how to choose good wine and spirits to cook with. I get what you're saying but you have to understand that there are possible reasons why they have to look at the quick versions, they may be in a rush with little space during their daily schedule. And just because they look at the quick versions doesn't ultimately mean they do it for all the videos, it would depend on their time, so we shouldn't be too judgemental. The fact that they at least clicked the video should also mean something, because there are many people with problems that want answers but procrastinate and would pass self help vids on a whim.

Dear Alux, as always you made a great video for which you have my gratitude. I just wanted to take some time to give you a small tip. And yes it's about the word mansplaining. The term has become very political and is often used outside there original context. This can put viewers of especially the newer ones. They will dismiss the channel as a political channel and that would be a shame. Maybe try to phase it this way 'Stop being arrogant' or 'stop giving advice about everything'. I hope you will take this in consideration when you can. Have a lovely day
