Hey, guys. Realize it's long time no see. I was extremely ill for a month; spent 2 weeks of that totally bedbound. After I could get up, it took another whole month to just be able to walk since my legs were so weak and I was easily winded. This is my first workout in awhile. Figured isometric would be easier than a regular strength workout. Still wore me out and made my heart pound! Sweet Mochi is hungry and saying, "Mom, feed me!!"

This is a great workout for someone like myself who is over 65 yes old. There's a benefit to these types of isometric exercises which helps my muscles stay strong! Hi Aiko and April, I have been doing quite a few of your exercises and stretch moves since I discovered your channel a few weeks ago. I love doing them with you. Your cheerful demeanour is also wonderful. You are in the room with me! I am fairly fit but have to adapt as I have a partial physical disability from birth. It feels great to get the extra workouts on parts of the body I didn't think of and which definitely need gentle moving. It has helped especially with some lower back pain I have had recently. Great to do! I broke my wrist some weeks back and the muscles in the hand and wrist are weak so it was a challenge holding the weights but it was good. I am really trying to strengthen the muscles which threaten to go into spasm regularly. Rude!!! Your mom is a treat - my husband likes to watch the workout because he likes to watch her and hear what she comes out with!

So excited to find your channel! I was just thinking it would be interesting to do a weight training with my mom. She’s 84 and stronger than I am after having a year recovering from long Covid, but she’s gone into a dormant. After selling the house and moving into a partially assisted living. I think this is a great series and you both have really inspired me to start doing this for myself even though I really hate exercising, ha ha. And I subscribed.

Tq for teaching new exercises regularly. I'm following all of your exercises. 2 months back, my weight was slightly up. I was upset that my weight was 76kgs. In August I have reduced my weight to 72.5 kg for my nephew's marriage to look thin. Now also I am on the same weight. Pains in my thighs, and feet have come down by 80% and am feeling light. Just slight pains still as I had flu and high fever after marriage. Now better and doing the exercises again. Please be teaching exercises to ease shoulder pains and thigh pains. Love to you, mom and mochi from Vizag, Andhra Pradesh India. My brother helps me a lot and wants me to be healthier. ❤❤❤❤. Dr. Gowri

This is definitely what I need to start with. When you age, part of you doesn't realize all the changes you body has gone through... especially if you have not been exercising! I want to get fit in the 'softest' way (least painful!).

I was trying to find an isometric routine i could do on my vibration plate and this is exactly what i was looking for. Thank you. Do you have any other isometrics you can think of. For calves or shins or hamstrings maybe.

Awesome nice 50 plus strength training but not sure if they are considered body weight bearing resistance body recomposition exercises maybe for beginners doing body recomposition?

Hi there! Glad you enjoyed this workout. Bodyweight exercises use only your body weight as resistance, without the use of dumbbells or other gym equipment. Isometric exercises with weights or dumbbells are not bodyweight exercises because they involve holding a weight. So in this workout, the squat (if used without weights) is a bodyweight exercise. Also, because isometric exercises are done in one position without movement, they'll improve strength in only one specific position. You'd have to do many isometric exercises through your limb's whole range of motion to improve muscle strength across the range. Keep building strength! 💪❤️
