Thank you for this! I'm a breast cancer survivor and am currently in chemical menopause for the next 5-10 years and my body feels older than I am because of it. I've been looking for workouts I can do to loosen up and build muscles back up and there aren't many. I used to be able to do more and it's so hard finding workouts that I can do to build my body back up (many are geared toward young, already-in-shape people without joint issues). This was one I could do and gives me so much hope that I can workout and do strength training again.

Me too. I’m recovering from a long illness and now have adrenal fatigue so I feel pretty awful for the last two years. I’m trying to get my strength back and heal my adrenals. I started with your 10 minute walking workout on 3/7/23. It is now 4/12/23. I do your 20 minute walk and 20 minute strength with dumbells 4 times a week. Thank-you for being patient! My BP is now NORMAL and my heart rate has dropped 20 beats per minute. I was "scared" because of my heart rate back in March. Today, my heart rate was 72 beats per minute, down from an average of 95. You two are the best!!!!!

I love these two ladies and the incremental movement toward small goals, then larger. Even though I belong to a very nice athletic club, I still love to work out with Iko and April. These two gals have helped me come out of a long standing depression, because they gave me goals I could approach, then master, then move on. It's as if I am having two friends over and no matter how messy my house might look, I can just tune into one of these videos, do some exercises, then find my vim and verve to get on with my housework. Iko and April are the best deal going. Very thankful and grateful to have found them.

I would love to see more of these full-body strength workouts using dumbbells. 20 minutes seems to be an ideal time for me, too. I have been working out for just over 4 years, but am always on the lookout for fun and interesting videos like yours. I'm not a senior, but a patient with Myasthenia Gravis. I used to work out a lot before being diagnosed with this disease. The past 2 years of recovery have been challenging, as I've struggled to find workouts that don't push me too hard or trigger my symptoms. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) hasn't been suitable for someone with my condition. This is my second week working out with you guys, and I'm hoping to see improvement in 6 months. Hi there! Welcome to the yes2next family! Yes, it's very common to have an extra tire as we age. Your body gains and loses weight where it wants to. Everyone is different and hormones and menopause can affect this as well. Losing pounds at your waist and overall occurs when you decrease calories through a healthy diet and burn calories with exercise. If you have done our high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts or any of our workouts with moderate intensity, you are working on blasting belly fat! HIIT workouts burn more calories/fat in a shorter period of time. They include raising and lowering your heart rate in intervals such as 30 seconds of exercise -- at the end of an exercise interval you should be a little out of breath. I recommend doing HIIT workouts 1 to 3 times a week with at least one day of rest between each session to let your body recover. Here is a suggested 20 Minute HIIT workout: bit.ly/41S08pf and a link to our KZbin playlist of HIIT workouts: bit.ly/3MbznVl Also, I recommend strengthening your core along with your cardio workouts. I just finished the 30 day beginner workout plan with this workout today! I'm in my 30s but had a hard time after COVID. With chronic sciatica & spinal problems going to the gym is not good. Finding your channel, I’m hoping I can do some fitness at home without ending up bed ridden. Love this workout. I’m 67 year old avid hiker but realize I need to work on my upper body, strength training and stretching. Oh my goodness - I Love you guys! And the orange cat - lol. I have been at a desk job for almost 3 straight years now & my body has aged, weakened and stiffened during that time. I keep trying to start exercising again, only to injure myself. This workout was JUST RIGHT. I only used 5 lb weights throughout, but had already convinced myself to start small when I did start again, which this is my first attempt in months. I look forward to see other videos you've made. I have been looking for a simple hand weights video, first on Amazon then KZbin, and have tried many. This is the first that I feel I can follow safely and adapt to my weak back, and really bad knees and shoulders, from decades of labor and injuries on industrial jobs, followed by terrible deconditioning in a over 12 year sedentary job.. I also really love the mom- daughter team, the ambience, and the cat! And Mom is a real treat! I am seeing a physical therapist and under care of a physician, thus not starting cold, which I would not recommend if you have injuries. Thank you.

I started my workout today with this "new to me" strength workout, and it was great! I was able to do all the dumbbell exercises using 5-pound dumbbells, including doubling them up for the sumo squats, and I did the full workout. Yet another to add to my favorites list! I followed it up with a 15-minute cardio workout + cooldown. Very effective!👍🙂
