Really enjoyed this workout! It's especially great to see an Olympian sharing such a well-rounded sequence with glutes, hamstrings, and backbends included instead of just straight "ab blasting". Thanks for creating and posting this!

I just started getting into inline skating, and found your channel. This workout is, I think, going to be extremely helpful. I've been having difficulty balancing on one skate; I'm hoping this will help. Thanks for making the video. Commitment: I'm going to watch this video and do this workout at least three times a week.

Hey Joey I know you're reading this. I'm down here in Naples with Dave Simmons and Robert Dickinson. Skating amateur in the Tampa classic next June. If it's being held. I'll be at a super senior position. I'm an old man. But I can run two miles in 11:59. And I'm a beast right now. I can't wait.

It would be great if this routine was in an app where people could chose inline skating as their target to exercise for then remove some exercises and adjust the durations. Overall it will be too much for many people and some exercises will be too difficult either due to some kind of injury or just until the person gets stronger. If such an app went through the exercises to start with and you indicated how long you managed to do it or if you couldn’t do it then the app could put together the routine to keep you on track… Fitbit could include such a feature instead of just having guided exercises like this video (unless they do and I just haven’t looked closely enough).
@JoeyMantiaSkatesАй бұрын
I would love to build something like that someday but I definitely can't do it alone
@jacobpaintАй бұрын
@ Yeah, it would probably be an investment both in time and money although the basics are probably not overly complicated as far as apps go. Aside from the the actual app creation, planing out how many different exercises you’d need to include and how to structure the exercises to target different things such as this set for the core, might be one of the hardest aspects. Maybe partnering with other athletes from different sports they could offer alternate types of workouts or even workouts for different types of inline skating. I’ve also seen a video from Bill Stoppard that was very different to what you’re doing here, that was pretty good but I would be more likely to try and use these core exercises. Anyway, good luck if you ever get around to it.

I'm looking to get a new pair of skates, coming from skating in different sets of rollerblades for probably ten years. Would you recommend going to a pair of semi-speed skates (inline), or just going straight to low cut speed skates?

Nice workout! But I felt more my shoulders and upperbody after this more than core 🤔 propabbly cuz of the pushups and long plank exercises
@JoeyMantiaSkates3 жыл бұрын
I was the same at first. Also, on a lot of the exercises, if you don't actively engage your core the entire time, they're really not that difficult, so your concentration and attention to detail pretty much dictates the effectiveness of the workout
