Hey Joey! I am a speed skater from India aged 13 I am doing the plyometrics workout of your channel everyday and dryland twice a week I want to be a skater like you I want to win international championships please give some advice. And can you suggest should I stick to my earlier approach or start doing this. Big fan!
@JoeyMantiaSkates2 ай бұрын
Hey buddy, keep up the great work! My suggestion would be to take a day off between any off skates workouts so your body can make the necessary growth and adaptations. There can be benefits to doing them every day, but if you're also skating it could be a lot for your body and mind to digest. You can try this and see how it goes: monday - dryland workout wednesday- plyometric workout friday- this workout If it becomes too easy, you can stack 2 workouts in the same day, for example doing the dryland immediately followed by this quad workout, but I recommend keep a day in between where you dont do any big off skates work unless you're in a really hard part of your training cycle and there's a specific goal you're trying to accomplish in a specific timeframe Hope that helps
@sushmasingh90402 ай бұрын
@@JoeyMantiaSkates Thanks a ton for the advice! 🙌 I’ll definitely try spacing out the workouts as you suggested and see how it goes. Your support means a lot to me! 😊 Will be looking forward to your camps in India!

Hey I would like to know if you train with weights or other stuff in your professional career? Or do only do skating and bodyweight stuff like showed here? To be honest I only tried the small squat pulses and it was unbelievable exhausted. Can’t believe it :D It looks like an almost perfect workout for legs hypertrophy AND cardio combined in one session!

Does this work out maintain deep squatting strength?
@wadsworth23512 ай бұрын
Hey Joey, just one quick query: i am trying to find a way to incorporate these legs workouts of yours into my existing workout schedule. I normally train on odd days and take two days off between each workout (not really off-days though as i still dial in some cardio and stretching). Can these workouts be performed together with those for the upper body (push and pull ups, dips, rows, kettlebell work, etc.) or should these be done on their own?
