This was a really solid mindfulness practice. Too often these devolve into imagining you're floating on a cloud or something. I'm sure there's value in that sort of thing, and I understand there's pressure to put out different content, but I really appreciate that this is something closer to a true vipassana practice.

i've just noticed that every time i look at myself with more compassion - as in "if any thoughts arrive, simply note: thinking or thinking about" - and not being upset about the fact i was thinking or something similar, i feel more passion, more love and even more gratitude and willingness to complete all of my tasks ✨ thank you immensely

Matt, because of the impact of MBI's, I utilized some of the MBSR to help patient's and/or family members. I have also found it useful to offer it as a means of stress relief. If you don't mind me asking . . . What was your journey that lead you to coordinate/direct/implement The Mindfulness Edge. I look forward to any communication from you and future meditation opportunities.

I do this thing with my employees where we have a 15 min meditation time every week. I just played this one and i felt like i was floating out of myself. It's the first time i ever feel that; i knew my feet were on the ground and that i was sitting in my chair, but i felt like i was slowly floating and leaning back.

I use this video every morning and every night, it’s amazing. I also noticed how you say “the” (body part) instead of “your” which ties in to the belief that there is no me looking out, because the me is an illusion. We are just pure awareness and consciousness. I’m still trying to grasp the concept though. What are your thoughts on meditation for social anxiety, and do you have any tips? Thankyou
@themindfulnessedge-withmat26314 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing this! You made my day. I'll have to do a video on mindfulness for social anxiety sometime soon. For now, be kind to yourself. When anxiety arises, just note that "There's anxiety. This is a natural part of being human." Then explore what the anxiety feels like in your body with curiosity. This will help you take the fuel out of the anxiety- which are thoughts about being anxious and thoughts about not wanting to be anxious.
