I highly encourage you to challenge yourself with using light weights for upper body if you are able and do as many sit to stands as you can to build strength in your legs. Thank you thank you thank you !I’m a 50 year old Fibromyalgia, chronic migraine warrior. There are days I’m on a walker , motor scooter or just plain couch ridden. I’m in physical therapy but wanted to get my strength back by exercise. Most videos wear me out quickly . I actually got through your entire video. My daughter drives a car that is quite high, she has a little step stool that I use to get in. After 3 weeks of following chair exercises, I surprised her when she walked around the car to get the ladder and found me already seated. She asked me to show her. I climbed out and back in with no problem and had her grinning.

I love love this video. I’m watching from NC. I’m 65 and started doing yoga a few weeks ago. Some have talking before which takes up time. You talk during the exercise which is great. It took some searching but finally found an evening cool down before bed. And I found yours which I will continue every morning. I hand had 3 neck surgeries so I band lots of neck, lower back, and leg pain. Your video is perfect. It gives a good all over workout and isn’t too strenuous for me. The I only one I can’t do is the few seconds of running so I just keep matching b Sorry to be long. Just wanted you to know I’ve searched and found yours which will be part of my morning routine. I am so thankful for your workouts of different lengths. Not only was I recovering from a brutal virus, I also had to go to my horse’s barn every day during our recent heat wave to cool him down. I couldn’t do that AND work out. So 10 min a few days ago, 15 minutes today. 20 minutes in a couple of days. Adding light weights to ones that have no weights, as I feel I have lost a lot of muscle mass. Your workouts are my favourites!

This is a fantastic workout in only 15 minutes (that went so fast). It was just what my shoulders needed because I could hear the rumbling! Importantly for me, the leg lifting made me tuck my tummy in. (I am glad I had the fan on, essential in the Thai climate). Thank you for such a complete set of exercises while just sitting. I will definitely repeat this programme.

Some time has passed since I gave a comment but I have continued with my exercises. I do admit to trying other programs sometimes but I always return to Jules and this one in particular for the evening break. Having to concentrate on the movements is so good for clearing my mind of today's activities and news items. After many months of daily walks (weather permitting!) and "Walking/sitting at Home" exercises, my favorite is still the one I started with many months ago, "Mama Mia Walking Workout". It is so good in every respect, especially for seniors like me who struggle with the indignities of old age!

This is a really good workout for the upper and lower body. I really took to heart the resistance pressure you suggested to put on our upper arms. In a few weeks, when I was using my arms, I felt really defined muscles that had gone dormant/become weak since my accident. Now they are on the way back thanks to your great instructions and workout. Thank you. I feel so much stronger.

I have had several back surgeries and have weakness in my legs. I have done 2 different workouts on this channel the last couple of days. The one I did yesterday had some strength training and the one I did today was basically cardio. These work great for me because I can't really do standing exercises without support. I hope that I can keep doing these.

@@marybethminton321 Hi, I actually have two classes that would likely be very suitable for you to work on your balance. If you go into my channel, underneath the channel name you'll see 'home' then 'videos' then 'playlists'. You can either scroll through the videos under 'videos' or look at the 'playlists'. Under the standing exercises (in the playlists), you'll see one called, 'The best standing leg and hip strengthening exercises for seniors' which will work on strength in your legs which in turn, helps your balance. I also have one class specifically for balance exercises which is great for beginners. For all of these exercises you can use a chair for assistance, or even two chairs if needed. Hope this helps!

So I decided to try bed & chair exercises for these days. I was worried that it would be too easy but it wasn't! It was exactly the amount of movement & exercise that I needed. I figure some exercise is better than nothing, so thank u so much for this video!

Hi Joanna, I'm so glad to know that this workout was manageable and worked out well for you. Just so you know, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate). Depending on how you're feeling each day, you can pick and choose from the categories. If you're having a bad day, the gentle workouts might be great for getting in gentle movement. On days when you have more energy, the beginner and intermediate seated workouts might work well. If you can stand, the gentle standing workouts might also be suitable for you. I use different music in each video so once you find ones that you enjoy, you could save them to your favourites to use again. I hope that helps. Thank you. I’ll be 73 in a few days and considered fully disabled due to 3 knee surgeries and major spinal surgery from injuries. Only 20 years ago I was walking 4 miles easily but that was before the surgeries. Now, I’ve allowed myself to become obese and only able to walk 4 blocks. This is a dangerous health hazard that I put myself in and I decided 2 days ago that must be changed. I have altered my eating habits and started moving. This video was excellent and demonstrates how out of shape I have become. I will continue and hopefully advance to longer ones.

@@ImprovedHealththank you so much for reading and taking the time to respond with helpful advice. I have a long way to go but I can’t afford to go backwards anymore. This isn’t an option anymore. It’s a necessity. My spinal surgery was an unsuccessful 3 disc lumbar surgery and now I have disc degeneration disease. My once flat tummy is a disgrace since it’s been surgically operated on twice. Doctors suggest more surgeries but I’m not a good candidate and recovery is gruesome. I believe by losing many pounds of excess weight and toning up will help much more in the same length of time as surgical recovery procedures. Chair exercises are definitely best for me at this time since my knees aren’t able to handle the stress of added weight and endurance. My spine isn’t because of lack of core muscle strength. My lower tummy pulls on my spine. Basically, I have to get busy and stay focused on my goals and health.

I really liked this one. A good balance of upper and lower exercise. Plus a little stretch at the end. I have arthritic knees and a shoulder injury from a few years ago, so this one was just perfect for me. Thanks for all you do to help us. 🌟

Thank you. My mom has Parkinson's and she needed some exercise so we set it up (I am in Ireland and she is in America) so we could watch together and exercise via live video. It was just the right amt of time and not too difficult but enough to challenger her. Thanks!

This is an excellent workout. I’ve been doing it for about a month since I am unable to be on my feet because of plantar fasciitis. I have started using two little one pound weights that I pick up off the floor the first time you bend over to do tricep work and then keep using until you go into stretches. I hope to build up to my three pound weights soon. Thank you!

I am trying to get more range of motion since my accident and surgery. I can't life my left arm (yet) even to side due to the fracture hummerus and ICD implanted a few weeks ago, but I felt good after though. I'm glad I found them.

Hi my name is david johnston and i have a physical disability. I used to have physiotherapy throughout my childhood as i have a physical disability. In 2016 i was diagnosed with borderline osteoporosis and i was told to do more regular exercise to preserve my mobility. I attend a support group for adults with support needs in Manchester uk.
