Nanny, As usual your KZbin has given me some good laughs. I had two sisters and we always laughed about the chin hairs. Men loose hair on their heads, but grows out their nose and ears and women start having chin hairs. Lol. As my best friend always said “Being a Senior is not for Sissies” So happy to see Moose doing so well. Keep up the good inspiration for all of us seniors.❤️

I laughed at your comment about everything being maintenance but at some point it really is true! I have found that using Vaseline with cocoa butter all over my feet and then putting on a pair of socks whether it's at night time to sleep or during the day if I'm just going to be around home, keeps my feet soft and my heels comfortable. Good list and thanks to Moose for making it okay to use mobility helpers. Enjoy the day

I do this too, but I use a serious moisturizer from Avon, then the socks. Really helps callouses, which I have tons of.

I really liked this video Nanny. It’s always a little comforting to know you have company when it comes to the conundrums of aging. As always, your attitude is refreshing. Among several things you mentioned, I need handrails in the shower. My 6 year old grandson hasn’t noticed my elbows, but he’s fascinated with the loose skin under my arms. 😁 Life is more fun mixed with a sense of humor.

Good morning Nanny and Moose, you are adorable in your overalls Nanny. As Moose said you look pretty in everything. So many great suggestions! Some familiar, some new to me. We can either choose to learn and change accordingly, or complain and become grumpy. I prefer to seek knowledge. You gave me several ideas and I will go to Amazon as soon as I finish this note. I am so happy for you and Moose that you are spending time with family. You light up when you mention any of your family. I was able to spend time with mine yesterday. It was my son’s birthday. We went to the Irvine Spectrum for dinner and walked the entire space. I came out to the car with my cane and my son (very wisely) said that I will need my wheelchair. At what point do our children become older than us?!?!…lol. When I think of their ages I wonder, where did the years go? In my mind I am very young. Then my body says “oh no you don’t”. Well that is when we become creative and figure things out. Cane versus wheelchair for instance. Employ whatever products, devices or means possible to remain active and comfortable. Wonderful video Nanny. Blessings to you both, love, Sharon

Hi Sharon…It sounds as if you had a wonderful time at the Spectrum on your son’s birthday….it all happens so fast, doesn’t it?…when the children start making the decisions….thank God for them, though….Abundant blessings to you, too, Sharon…stay safe and well…hugs and my love, Nanny❤️

The best thing I’ve ever done for rough heels is to slather Vaseline on them at bedtime and cover with white socks. I’ve been doing that for years, since I heard Doris Day say that was how she kept her hands soft. (White gloves… hard to find any more, but we all had them back then.)

Nanny, you are a gift to all of us as we age. I have a friend in her mid 70’s that actually shaved her face. It’s like hugging a man. I pluck instead. Much better. I am also diabetic. Important to care for ourselves. I once had to get my mom to wear pads. I told her, “how do you think the queen stands so long without wetting?”. It worked and our travels were drier. She made it until almost 95.

Thanks for openly discussing so many of the issues that come along with aging, as painful and irritating as they can be at times, but as we all have come to realize, are a normal part of this wonderful stage in our lives. I finally gave up on trying to keep up with individual plucking of facial hair and use a device that Amazon sells called Kiminors Mini Electric Tweeze. Battery operated, easy to use and does a great job, leaving your skin very smooth. I’ve given up on lubricating my feet and covering them with socks, as I wake up in the morning with the socks neatly folded beside me, carefully removed while I’m sleeping…lol….it just doesn’t work for me. Thanks for sharing all your helpful special tips and routines Nanny, we need to stick together and open up more about the realities of keeping our minds and bodies working well, and as usual you picked the perfect topic.😘🤗

Love the information! I'm grateful to have so many options to help me as I age and I gladly use my cane, walker, diaper etc. One thing that I get really frustrated with though is how unbelievably hard it is to open things. Those White Strip flexible tray kits from the Dollar Tree work great. EZ to use and exact same ingredients as the big brand names. I find that 'jumping jacks', skipping, jogging or trotting actually helps the incontinence. i skip or gallop about a block every day as part of my walk.

There are other good exercises for incontinence, too…Stacy…wish I could gallop around a block these days! Will try the Dollar Tree whitener! ..❤️

U can start with 1 or 2 gallops! I saw this idea, i think on Steve Harvey Show. This white haired lady was in incredible shape, galloping about in her leotard! I love IMI's "Just Swing Arms" exercises, too. She got me started...it's so easy most times.

Loved this video. Thank you. (Is that charcoal safe for teeth? Baking soda works for me occasionally). :) PS. I follow other youtubers but you are THE most interesting of them all, Nanny!
