There’s a Netflix show called “best leftovers ever” that is a fun watch and also gave me quite a few ideas for how to use leftovers. I also find adding leftovers to soup, chili, and quesadillas are great ways to change things up!

@yagottabkiddin

Try planning ahead when you know there will probably be leftovers. Set aside some of the ground beef to use the next night in something different instead of putting it all in spaghetti sauce. If you hold some of the protein out instead of putting it all in a sauce or a casserole, it can be used in a totally different way the next night.

I've been doing fetch rewards from your suggestion last year.Went on vacation and stopped at a McDonald's for a biscuit for breakfast. There was a busload of college kids in front of us and each one just throughout their receipt as they got their food into a little tiny trash can. When they were through I scooped every one of them out and there was over 40 of them! Yay me! Each one was five points!

So we are a family that does the "once a month shopping" thing. I'll load up on fresh stuff and frozen/canned stuff. Basically, fresh stuff gets eaten first. If anything is starting to go, then it gets frozen or used in soups or whatever. Then when we are all out of the fresh stuff, we use whatever is hanging out in the freezer until grocery day again! Depending on the time of year, fresh lasts longer so we will apples and stuff all month long. In the winter, its a lot more of living out of the freezer/pantry (at least that's how it goes up here in northern Alberta).

For monthly shopping, I have a couple of tricks: 1. If it will be cooked or blended, buy it frozen or canned. 2. Buy items that keep longer- potatoes, apples, winter squash, onions, nuts 3. For salads, buy bags to use that day. Otherwise get whole lettuces and cabbages bc they keep longer.

I only shop once a month at 1 store(otherwise youre paying for the multiple trips via gas. Which can get SUPER price if your not careful!😬). To preserve the fresh veggies and whatnot for the whole month, I pre-prep them for the month when i get home, pre-cook my meals, and then freeze them! We even have some single meal tupperware i got off amazon in bulk that is reusable and has helped us save LOADS of money because we hardly have any food waste anymore!😊We only have things like salad and whatnot during the first 2 weeks, and the 2nd 2 weeks of the month we use frozen veggies and whatnot. 😊 Everything stays fresh, nutrients are all there, and it saves LOADS of time! Best thing EVER to do is to pre-do things before you need them done so theyre there waiting when ya need em!😊💚💜 Love your shopping goodies! Lol. Youre SO RELATABLE! Keep these vids comin maam!💚💜

Granted, I don’t have a large family to feed. But the way I buy fresh produce once a month is by buying an array of things that spoil at different rates; eating those that spoil faster first. Things like potatoes, cabbage, or apples will last for weeks in the fridge. But I do fall back on frozen veggies when I wanna stretch time between shopping… but let’s be honest, it’s usually because I don’t feel like grocery shopping.

Gas is 2.88 per gallon here. Ugh! Strawberries have been in short supply at the grocery store. I’m 30 miles from Augusta, GA. Luckily, there’s a strawberry patch 6 miles away. I love to fill the freezer. You’re videos are a great!

In Sacramento the gas is $4.29 a gallon 😡 I’m about ready to ride my horse to run errands 😂 I don’t care for the focus aid but the first aid in the black can is real good. Love your channel 🥰🥰

So you have answered a question I had. Apparently the potatoes in Idaho actually say Idaho potatoes too. I have no idea what I thought they said, but after all the years of buying Idaho potatoes I now know. Also this morning I made leftover rice scrambled eggs and I thought of a video you had of using up leftovers. The kids thought I had created something wonderful.
