Re: Eurovision being too progressive for general audiences. My mum was very adverse to using names instead of pronouns for Bambie and Nemo (names cause there's no gender neutral pronoun in German). The day after the GF, she told me she'd stayed up late and read up on gender identity and realised she's probably enby too. That's a direct positive effect on a person I'd consider "general audience"! ♥️

I get it, however my dad kept calling Bambie and Nemo 'it' and also when Nemo won, he whispered something under his breath (not sure what but he def said something bad). So some people are not very kind to it.

I will respect other people's pronouns and identity, but I can't with people claiming I give "NB vibes" just because I love frills and pastel colors but the next day I wear cargo shorts and combat boots or because I enjoy lifting heavy and sparring just as much as crocheting and baking. I might be in the wrong (and if I am, please feel free to correct me) but I don't feel like changing my pronouns just because my interest and personality don't match the gender stereotypes associated to being a woman.

@@MorkyMuffin You don't have to change your pronouns just because you don't fit gender stereotypes. If you feel comfortable being a woman and using she/her pronouns then that's who you are, regardless of how you dress. It can also go the other way around too. You can be NB and use they/them pronouns but still present in a very feminine or masculine way. Mixed pronouns is also a thing. Only you can know who you are and when it comes to being yourself remember there are "no rules" 🙂

Your description of moving to Germany is spot on from me. Horrible housing that made me wanna cry and bang my head in the wall, then I got a better apartment and now my semester abroad is the best part of my life to date. In Armenia 🇦🇲 we stay up until early morning to watch the show. People love it. So imagine it’s being held in Armenia 🇦🇲 the whole country would be out and about right after the show is over (just watch the number of people at the JESC opening v at the Republic square). So, unlike Nemo you won’t be starving looking for an open restaurant 😂😂😂. There will be plenty of them in the early hours of the day.

I nearly spurted out my drink at your mention of Jan Bors! 99% of the time I completely disagree with him and then in one post out of hundreds he make sense, but loses it all again with his next video, he has an amazing way of starting a video sounding like he might be going to be sensible and then the conclusions are all so completely wrong! I’m sick of him telling me I have no evidence for my viewpoint, i post up the validation and facts and he ignores them, then he goes on to say whatever he feels like and if questioned asking for evidence, he implies you are being disingenuous. Nobody gatekeeps Eurovision for the queers. If we're talking about this year: the host (SVT) was the only one that acted like it is. I hate how Eurovision was written this year, except for maybe the Grindr joke. But then again, that was also aimed at queer people watching. In my opinion, Eurovision should be less gay and more about songs. And that's me saying this as a homosexual man.
