After performing sold out shows across multiple different states and being recruited for international tours in Canada and Australia, JUMP has positioned themselves as one of the top up and coming Van Halen tributes on the planet.
Delivering two hours of classic David Lee Roth era Van Halen, the Toledo, Ohio based band’s lineup is composed of a group of youngsters all born in the mid-late 90’s and early 2000’s. While their age offers a visual aesthetic true to Van Halen in their prime, their sound also reflects the same shredding Eddie guitar solos, rock solid rhythm section, and the whaling two-tone screams reminiscent of David Lee Roth’s voice. Featuring a variety of hits and deep cuts off of the first 6 albums, JUMP’s live show includes a selection of acrobatics, martial arts, skits and one liners portrayed by Van Halen from bootlegs of their live shows between 1978-1984.

I had tickets 3 times to see Van Halen in concert. US Navy got in the way twice and Mother nature the third. My absolute favorite band. Now with Eddie gone and the rest of the band still bitchin about each other, JUMP may be the closest band out there to give me the experience that I have longed for for 40 years. Met these guys in Dubuque, IA a few nights ago on Jarrett’s birthday at the restaurant before the show. What a great group of genuine nice/good guys! Great show! Hella fun! No voice autotune help, just a true live show. Great tribute. And kudos to Eric who sits up on those drums flashing that bucket of teeth the whole night. You can’t wipe the smile off his face. My husband and I took our thirteen year old and six year old to see these guys tonight. They are fantastic! Not only are they really top notch entertainers, they are also great musicians. Well, the real VH band had their final concert with Dave as lead singer in Oct 2020 and disbanded after October 6, 2020 when Eddie passed. Sammy Hagar and Mike Anthony are touring this July and August and playing more VH songs including a few Dave ones. Hagar invited Roth but only for a few guest appearances. They never got along in the past and very rarely shared the stage together. This cover band, though is just like the Roth era VH in 1984! Roth left VH in 1985 and was replaced by Sammy Hagar from 1986-1996. Dave came back to VH in 2007 after Wolfgang replaced Mike on bass. I don't care for Wolfgang's solo work in his band, Mammoth WVH. I like the 70's and 80's VH stuff sung by Roth and Hagar.

I like the analogy of contemporary performers recreating a historic artist's work. But i think the audience of theater and music are different. I wonder how many VH fans would go to a VH musical. I think music fans are less forgiving of intepretation in varying degrees.

Not sold on this Geddy Lee type of bass player. I would bet any money he also played in a Rush tribute before this band. His playing lacks energy and his stage presence is like Geddy's too. Boring. Other than that, these guys are really good. Since seeing them on their World Vacation tour back in 1979, Diamond Dave era is by far my all-time favorite band. And It's not even close. And I'm very picky too when it comes to my favorite band. It's hard to impress me and y'all did.
