I might get into Witcher 3 again at some point, I still remember seeing everyone at a gaming convention rushing to the booth that featured Wild Hunt when it was coming out, they ignored most other games at the time. I’ve tried the Witcher maybe 3 or so different times in the past, and only recently started loving it, my biggest tip for brand new players is take your time, don’t rush the beginning, immerse yourself and learn the game. After I did that, this became top 5 game of all time for me

Ive not played since 2022 so about a week ago I hopped back in and started a new play through , got me a sword build going with the cat school gear and some potion use nothing special just moving right along and about forgot where a lot of stuff and loot was so gotta ask youtube lol but been thinking about stopping and downloading some mods to install never done that with this game but thinking on it and as for drowners i was not hitting them good while aiming the crossbow for some reason so i stopped aiming and just fired while they get close and never missed a shot yet

is it cheaper to repair from vendors directly or craft repair tools instead?

Always handy to have some repair kits on you, but generally just way better to use a merchant. Cheaper overall AND convenient.

Eh a 15% armor kit is like 30 gold to repair a damaged sword at 80% scales to the weapon rarity around 100gold or more. Way cheaper crafting and or finding. Unless your weapon is around 50% then vendors are the better call. In the video he even says "doesn't matter I'm rich" early game gold is not as abundant
