You don't need to exchange the value of a relationship through a contract. No one has ever explained what it is doing or what it is for. Ooo I have a story for this one. My mom’s an ESFP and my dad’s an INTJ. My mom got sick of waiting for a proposal and one day after work she stopped by a store and got a calendar, she got home, ripped out the months she didn’t want to get married in, then handed the calendar to my dad and said “pick a day for the wedding”. My dad picked a day and they got married on that day. To this day my parents bicker about who owes who an engagement ring. My mom says she should get one because she’s the woman and my dad says he should get one because my mom’s the one who proposed without a ring.

When my Dad(INFP) proposed to my Mom(INFJ), it was the perfect setting: in the mountains, at sunset, by themselves, the works, although both of them admit it was a bit cold. (Yes, my Dad set it up.) And when my Dad popped the question, my Mom quite literally and without exaggeration said: "It's Beautiful . . . Can You Put That Thing Away?" 🤣 Obviously she said 'Yes' later, and she admits she had mostly decided on saying so at the start, but she just wanted a little time to chew on it. If anyone gets their ring in the sink, there is still a chance to get it back. In most sinks, the pipe does not lead straight to abyss, but there is a part that goes down and closes, and a bit higher there is a "branch" that leads straight to abyss. In most cases, ring is heavy and it goes down, not in a branch. You just need to stop the water and disassemble the bottom part (or call a plumber to do so). It's highly likely that you will find your ring there.

As an INTJ, the portrayal of long term thinking is very close to the mark for me. An INTJ friend and I have long ago developed a formula that calculates compatibility based on the weighted value of around 20 traits or so, measuring a prospective partners score on those traits on a scale as those scores become uncovered. Put simply, once a candidate reaches a compatibility threshold, an attempt is made at dating, a much more thorough compatibility test. If the interest in dating is mutual, and if that tests proves successful, the candidate has reached the qualifications to become a life partner, which is the ultimate goal of the entire process, for the myriad benefits such an arrangement would provide. Mariage is one aspect of that life partnership, a mutual permanent commitment, and the transition point from partner to life partner. Of course, I’m capable of describing the whole process in a more “romantic” way when necessary, but as with all things in my life, I am a long term thinker, and goal oriented, whether I be planning the day’s work, my next move in a board game, finances, or world conquest.

I wasn’t even at the end of the INFP one when I started typing this and thought it was ENFP because I felt SO CALLED OUT because that is my inner monologue and also outer monologue with everyone. “I just want to make sure I don’t feel like I have mislead you into marrying me” because THAT WOULD BE ME! Ok on the ACTUAL ENFP one (I think) YEP I WAS RIGHT. Also the “cool cool cool”- and also would probably be me. The INFP is my like inner (and let’s face it) outer monologue. Then I would drop the ring down the sink after accidentally or just loose it 😂 I’ve been going to this lady for electrolysis hair removal- and She got engaged like 3 years ago, but anyway so she was doing what the ESFJ was in that video and like talking to my mum and trying to make it obvious. She had been zapping my hairs for like the past 30 mins at that pint. Literally took me 55 mins to get it- when I looked and went “ooh that ring is really nice is it new?”. But she was trying to make it obvious. So true to my stereotype It took 2 watches of this to notice what the ESFJ was doing 😂

The ISFJ and INFP are both me lol. I'm chronically ill so while the INFP is a bit exaggerated, I absolutely get where they were coming from. I too deep down hope someone will stay despite what could happen (Inf Ne) but also despite what has happened to me in the past and the pain that has come with it (Dom Si) but I would also stick around in spite of that for someone else too. I really think these types of things through so once I've proposed, I've made up my mind. I too would also let my loved one pick out their favorite ring, cause it could also be time to spend with each other and that's my second love language apart from Acts of Service. The ENTP one had me giggling. Yep I definitely could see that happening. also congrats!!
